Megan Racing Bushing Experience
Megan Racing makes some harder rubber bushing replacements for the front suspension. I'm specially interesting in the front lower A arm bushing as I hear those are prone to crack and I'm looking to maintain the reponse and tightness of the handling over time.
Are these any more durable than the stock rubber bushings? I know they are stiffer, but i want to replace the stock ones with something that will last longer. If these aren't any more durable, I may as well go with the whiteline poly replacements. Anyone have experience with Megan bushings?

Are there any other brands that make the same item?

I have the Megan front lca bushes fitted. A worthwhile improvement for me but then again all of my rear bushes have been upgraded or replaced with rose joints.
HardRace and Megan bushes appear to be the same product. There are other brands of front lca bushes available: Avo, Whiteline, Powerflex (UK) which are available in 2 different hardness, Perrin makes one of the 2 bushes in bearing form. Best of luck finding data to find out if they last longer than oem.

Yes. Kind of pointless only doing one imo which is why I didn't go with Perrin's offering. For me nvh is not an issue at all.

do you mind commenting on the nvh you do notice? Is it mostly harshness over bumps or do you feel vibration when cruising unlike stock? How do they feel cruising at 70mph on a highway?

Prior to my current dampers I was on 6k/6k springs with chunky sways front and rear. Most of the bushes/joints were upgraded when these dampers were fitted which was at about 5,000 kms of ownership so I can't tell you how the upgraded bushes/joints are in isolation. Having said that over small road imperfections, as opposed to noticeable bumps and dips, I did not notice increased nvh. I am guessing on good roads when the suspension is not working too much you would be hard pressed to notice a difference.
Another important point is that different people have different perceptions of nvh. What one person considers acceptable another may not. Sorry I can not give you any definite answers to your question.

In my experience with a car that had solid bushings, the nvh is mainly increased over sharp bumps, otherwise it is barely noticeable. Running over raised reflectors was very noticeable as an example.
