My DD Hot Lava FR-S Build

Welcome to my build thread. This won't be some crazy FI racecar build, but one of a newly graduated, 1st real job worker, daily driver
Aka, a very slow build, 1 piece at a time.

Mods:

Sharkfin Antenna
Winjet Black headlights
Clear Smoked side markers
Doggy's CF interior Trim + OEM Black interior pieces
OEM arm-rest
86 piston black aluminium center plaque

Things I wish for:

Lachute Performance Cat-back exhaust.
Some nice wheels + tires
Coil-overs (probably Fortune Autos 500)
CF Front lip (still don't know which one, I'm looking for something like the STi lip, but made for the FR-S)
CF Side Skirts
Lip spoiler (Mixed between TRD style, 5AD, and Leg Motorsport's duckbill)
A full interior leather upholstery matching the outside color of the car, or changing the accent for another color that goes well with Orange (the red accents on a hot lava kind of suck)

The car as is today:

After finding a job in a very reputable company 2 months after graduating I decided I needed some reward, and a way to cut travel time during the day.

So I picked up this:

Soon after the Sharkfin (really disliked the RC stock antenna) and the OEM armrest went on.
I have to say, drilling 12 holes in a car you just bought is a crazy experience.. but the armrest is just amazing. I would really like to know why didn't they include it from factory...

Winter came really fast... So I went to buy winter tires... Expensive, bulky, etc etc.
I went with 16ich black steelies Michelin Xice 3.

It was extremely hard to fit them in the car, but they fit!

Winjet Headlights:

Ok, so a buddy of mine and I bought the headlights really cheap in a groupbuy here. We got them a week later, and since it was -17 at the time, we went at our work's interior parking to do the install.

It was a fun, exhausting, and kind of scary process. We did my car 1st:

After we finished:

I went for a drive while my buddy started to take his bumper off, and came back only to find this:

Needless to say, we were crushed.. But later that evening my buddy found a thread saying that this is a common problem with the winjets and that it will fade away after a few days of use. So we had our hopes back!

And after almost a week of use, on really horrible weather (ranging from -17 to +3 with rain, slush, snow, carwash, etc)
the fog was more like this:

Now the fog is pretty much gone, and once summer arrives it will for sure be gone for good.
Overall, i'm really happy with the winjets, they actually light more than the stock lights and they look 1000000 times more sexy.

Doggy's CF interior trim:

So after going to the Montreal Auto Show, and sitting on all the M series BMWs and seeing how good they look inside, I decided I could do something like it in the FR-S.

So I did a bit of research and ended contacting Doggy through facebook and buying one of his Carbon Fiber interior trims.
Since he doesn't do all the pieces because of fitment issues, I also picked up the remaining pieces in black.

So again, some dismantling to do!

The process went better than I expected, its actually very easy to take the interior of the car apart.

The Black pieces are OEM, so nothing to say about those, other that its black.

Doggy's parts are really nice, he uses OEM pieces and overlays them with CF. They work really well, and look amazing.
