THEWAKLER's DGM BRZ

I'm pretty new to this, my first RWD and my first manual, but I am absolutely LOVING this car Have been wanting something like this for a few years and finally was able to financially afford it.

This thread is for updates and for me to be able to keep everything in order

My plans for the car are to keep it NA for a little while, probably until the warranty runs out, and then AVO is probably gonna take all of my money.

Right now my plans are to get more seat time and better with the RWD and manual, taking advantage of the western carolina curves as well as sneaking in some laps at AMP.

Hope everyone enjoys!

FINALLY had a free day and went and installed the helix smoke sidemarkers, changed the oil at 3500mi with a KN filter, installed an Apex air filter, debadged the back, and washed and waxed her (had installed the weathertechs and perrin shorty a few weeks ago because they were such a simply install).

I have a track day at AMP on the 11th, so Goodridge brakelines, fluid, and EBC pads will be installed in a few weekends.

Like I said, I'm pretty new to having a car I actually car about, so first time waxing, changing oil and really installing anything on a car. By the looks of it, brakelines are gonna be a little bit of a challenge..

You'll have a blast at AMP. The car really suites lower power vehicles nicely since you can keep your foot in it most of the time. I've done a couple track events there and was impressed. It is a rather short track though which is the only downfall in my opinion.

Don't sweat over the brake line install. It's a rather simple job to do. What fluid are you going to run?

Just moved to Sneads Ferry, I've been down to Wilmington a few times and really enjoyed it.

Probably AP Super 600

Only times around AMP so far have been in a Caymen S and a GTR, driven by my friend who is an instructor there, so I have a lot to work up to haha.

Was able to finally drive the car like it was designed to be driven, NE GA mtns and AMP last weekend. Was the fastest car in the novice group and was definitely faster than anything in the mountains.

The EBC Red pads and RBF 600 fluid helped out a lot, didn't have any issues in the mountains (although the brakes weren't used that much...) and was able to run 4-5 laps before noticing any fade on the track. Ducts will definitely be the next install before heading back on a track.

Next parts dump complete, had the BaysonR front lip, ST coils and Eibach sway bars installed last week, and JDM tips today. Black RPF1s and red Godspeed nuts are patiently waiting for springtime.

I had also hardwired my 9500ix last week

Next up is an interior LED flush from DiodeDinamics (my Christmas present to myself) as well as 3M CF vinyl wrapping all the interior silver trim pieces. Will also be installing a Rydeen Duo backup camera within the next month.

I've been neglecting updates, will hopefully get pictures of the additions. Stage 2 white LEDs from DD, Rydeen Duo and black interior trim from japanparts.

As she waits patiently at the airport.

Just stumbled across your car while I was searching the forum for "baysonR" - now I feel like I am copying your rig and didn't even know it.

I have the 17x7.5 RPF1s in black w/ Godspeeds

Great minds think alike I guess.
