Toyopet Fukuoka - Toyota 86 First Touch
So, I finally had a chance to go and search out the new Toyota 86. It is all that and a ham sandwich! I got a chance to sit in it and take a bunch of pixs. The car feels awesome. The seat, drivers position, and ergonomics are great. I can see nothing negative about the car, though 280-300hp would probably be prefect
![]() Here is my Q&A with the dealer. More on my blog here Q: Can I test drive it? A: uuuuummmmmmm, sorry we only have this one. Q: How long for delivery if I buy today? A: Probably July Q: How many have you sold at this dealer? A: 1 so far but we just got this one. Q: How much if I didn't put a down payment on it? A: Hmmm....about 60,000 Yen a month for 4 or 5 years loaded. Q: Do you think they will ever turbo it? A: Probably not but Subaru could if anyone did. |

Nice!! It always looks better in person, everyone has said so, so far. So are you Gaijin or really from Japan?

Awesome. So I know you saw a black one, which hides the lines more, but is it a striking design in person. Like if you saw a red one on the road, driving down, would it be distinctive from anything else out there?

Yes it's distinctive for sure, though I am of course biased. These days in Japan there are lots of Toyota Prius', box cars, and vans, so anything besides that stands out. The black looks good, but I think I will go with the blue or gray metallic when I buy one.
