My Hot Lava Build

Hello everyone! I have decided to start my own build thread. I am a recent college graduate and just got my first "big boy" job so money isn't flowing as much as some people on here but i can afford and fr-s and some light mods. My plan of attack is this:

1.) E85 conversion and tune(there are a lot of E85 stations in my area).
2.) Tsudo Front front pipe back exhaust(i have had good experiences with Tsudo in the past and they have quality stuff for good prices.
3.) Borla UEL Header. I know that Borla has had it's issues with headers but from what i have read all of these issues have been resolved and i am happy with the gains i have seen on dyno charts from the UEL borla header. Of course the price is right as well.
4.) FA20 club CAI.
5.) Go fast Bits pulley kit(Crank, alternator, waterpump).

I will be keeping everyone updated with my mods as i go but this is my list for now. My only question is about the E85 tune/ kit. Do i need to buy the flexfuel kit from FA20 club, and the ecutek cable and the tune? Or would i be ok with just the ecutek cable and tune? Any advice or any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks guys! i look forward to keeping everyone up to date with my project!

ok, so rather than jumping in last year and buying mods right away i decided to lurk a bit and wait until some more mods surfaced. So far i have only done two mods(stoptech SS front and rear brake lines)(tsudo catback). Here is a pic of the exhaust:

I really like the look compared to stock and it sounds really good(how i wish the car sounded from the factory). I have an injen intake on the way to my house right now and i will post up pics of that when i get it installed. I didnt take any pics of the brake lines because my hands were covered in brake fluid when doing the install.

As far as my opinion of the brake lines is concerned i think it gives the pedal a much better feel over stock, i can't wait to pair them with some nicer pads(waiting for the stockers to wear out). I would recommend these to anyone looking for some better braking performance and feel.

The tsudo catback exhaust is very nice for the price(ebay has it for 400 shipped brand new) and some other sites and dealers have great deals as well. My only complaint is that it hangs a bit low for my liking(id like for the tips to sit higher in the half circle cutouts in the bumper) but i will get that fitting fixed when i am done messing with my exhaust. still need front pipe over pipe and header. I would definitely recommend this exhaust to someone looking to upgrade the look and the sound of their car(a cat back alone isnt going to to much for performance so i cant recommend it there). if anyone has any questions let me know!

Also, as far as tuning is concerned i plan on going with the OFT (just seems like a nice setup to me). I also plan on doing the crawford power blocks, OFT header, tsudo mid pipe and probably DC overpipe or whatever name brand is cheapest and doesnt have fitment issues. Also still plan on doing some pulleys but as more come out i will go with the lighestest/best set when i buy. The E85 tune will go on the back burner for now until i can figure out the best way to go about it(im thinking the flexfuel kit would be best but i dont know if OFT supports that). i also plan on doing some things to the interior including changing all of the silver bits to either carbon fiber or red and also the big piece of trim on the dash but i havent decided which pieces i want red and which pieces i want CF. Tint is a must i just have been putting it off. I travel a lot for work so i will probably do some kind of nav head unit setup because i hate having my tomtom stuck to the windshield with the stupid wire in my way all the time. I also plan on eventually doing some sound deadening and upgrading speakers and amps but that wont be until everything else is done unless i get a really good deal. Does anyone have any input/opinions on my plans? any recommendations? ideas? im open to changing my mind if other people had better ideas lol.

Update: New injen intake went in last week. I really like the sound that it makes but i don't know if i feel any real difference in power. The only reason that i decided to get an intake instead of a drop in is because i got a really good deal on it from someone on here so i figured why not. Also, my OFT came in today and i setup the stage 1 tune for 93 octane what a difference! It adds power where our cars need it most - in the middle of the RPM range and it seems to just be a lot smoother. I can't wait to get a header so i can try the e-85 tune!
