Talking ihaskrayon's BRZ limited (Staci)

Hello everyone!

Here's my story and a journal for my BRZ. Meet Staci.

I picked up my car July 1st from Heuberger Motors in CO. Living in CA, I searched all over for a BRZ, but couldn't find one anywhere near MSRP. I am a loyal Subaru owner, but it was becoming a pain to find one the way I wanted it, so I decided I'd get an FR-S instead. I went to some local dealers and found one, but it was already sold. I put my deposit down, but the dealer never contacted me even after leaving several messages. I got my deposit back and gave a call to Clint. He hooked me up and I ended up getting the BRZ exactly how I wanted it!

Clint sent me this picture when the car arrived at the dealer

I was getting impatient waiting for the day I could fly out and pick up the car. But finally the day came and I was ready to go. I woke up at 5AM like a kid on Christmas and began getting ready. My girlfriend and I set off to the airport at 6:30AM and we ready for our 7:20AM flight out of OC. We boarded the plane and the smile on my face was ear to ear. That changed quickly when the pilot says we are going to have a delay, and eventually tells us to de-board the plane. The flight was canceled and I had to get another flight. The next flight was at LAX at 1PM. They paid for our shuttle to LAX and we get on the plane for round two. This plane had a delay, but we were up in the air at 1:30PM.

We finally arrived around 5:30PM in Denver. Heuberger Motors was nice enough to give us a complimentary pick-up. We arrived at the dealer around 7PM (Sorry Clint!) and took care of business.

By 8PM we were ready to be on the road and Vegas was calling our name. I wasn't planning on arriving so late, so I was dreading the 12 hour drive. I was really pissed with United Airlines, and our trip through the Rockies was dark and tiring. But here she is on her first fill up.

I couldn't take many pictures on the trip because it was night time. So after a long drive we finally made it to Vegas at 8:30AM! This is how hot it was when we arrived

Staci was hungry

After getting a few drinks and getting some rest we departed for a shorter trip home.

She finally got home safe and sound and parked next to her neighbor.

The next day I washed her up quickly since I didn't have much time. I'm hoping I can wash, clay bar and wax it some time next week. But she looks better when she's not covered in bugs

Awesome break-in journey...

You should send a pic with your new car to one of those local Subaru stealerships...with the quote "I guess somebody wanted to make a sale..."

every time I see a White BRZ I look past the serious annoyance I have for the front bumper, and love the car....it almost looks silver in some angles, such a great color.

Thanks!

It's funny because the day I got home, I got an email from South Coast Subaru saying they're willing to lower the price to $1,500 over MSRP.

Maybe I should reply back...

Yeah I love the color. My 07 WRX was also SWP and I knew I wanted it again. Looks silver sometimes, sometimes a slight gold, dead white at night and then looks like a satin wedding dress. I love it

Sounds like they implemented a similar color shifting paint on the 10 series, just different pigments. My guess....

You should, maybe it will help them to realize that they need to stop jerking everybody around who is looking for a BRZ...

Great story...almost same thing that happened with me. Very hard to find a BRZ on the lot in NC. I put money down for an order, but given the 6-month expected wait time. Was able to find the exact car I wanted in Mass...and able to fly up, hotel and drive it home for still less than sticker.
