ATSAaron's Raven FR-S
I am a pretty hardcore Toyota fan. I own ATS Racing, a Toyota Mr2 specialty shop. This is what we do:
![]() Here are a couple of my personal cars: ![]() ![]() The orange one is a 1988 MR2 with a Gen4 3SGTE engine that makes 260whp. It's fast. The green one is a 1991 MR2 with a ATS 2.3 super stroker and just about everything else we make. It makes 828whp. It's insane. Here is my FRS: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can see the back of my Toyota Tundra in that shot. It has the TRD Supercharger kit and occasionally a Magnaflow exhaust. It makes 500whp. It's as fast as the new Mustang 5.0's haha. You can also see the nose of my 78' 308 GTS. It's a fun car but slow by modern standards. The boat is also a Toyota. It's a 99 Toyota Epic and has a 4.0 Lexus V8 in it. Toyota made them from 1999-2002. So as you can see most of my cars are two seaters. I am married and have a 5yr old little boy. We wanted a fun car that we could enjoy as a (small) family. The FR-S was a great choice for us. But I couldn't leave it stock. I have already added an Ebay exhaust (netted .5 hp. That's 1/2 a horsepower but at least it sounds better), Hotchkiss springs, 18" Enkei wheels, 6000 sereis HID's, Hella brights, deactivated the DRL's with Toyota Techstream software, and some interior LED's. As far as the engine goes I haven't had much time to work on that yet, but I have gathered an impressive pile of parts: Precision ceramic ball bearing 5558 turbo Clutchmasters FX350 clutch/flywheel ID 1000 injectors Deutschworks fuel pump EcuTEK software/cable Intercooler Lots of aluminum piping and silicone couplers K&N filter(s) Tial MVS wastegate 50mm black BOV J2 2.75" mid pipe I really want to dive in and put the turbo on, but I am instead going to try my hand at some basic NA mods/tuning to see what gains can be had for less money. Thanks for all the information so far. Aaron ATS Racing.net |
