Forum suggestion: Regional classifieds

Nested sub-forum within each Regional sub-forum that contains WTB/WTT/FS threads.

Thoughts?

Not a bad idea... The thing is though, the more subforums there are, the more threads there will be that will technically be posted in the wrong place, and us Mods have to move them. And us Mods are lazy. Or at least Ichi and I...

FS threads are already posted in the wrong section; having a regional section makes the organization of the regional subforums better IMO. Realistically, there should be a regional mod in every region, but your lack of whole-site moderators isn't anything I can help you with.

Yeah I find the Socal classifieds to be pretty bad. It's hard to sort out the FS stuff all in 1 thread

I've been a mod on NASIOC for over 10 years in the Tri-state and our regional classified system there works out really really well to help keep the region clean for actual discussion and classifieds for folks looking to buy and sell.

As this community has grown I can definitely see a need for it in certain regions, like the NY/NJ/CT Tristate region could definitely use it.

Let me know if you want some help on the mod side of things or even just suggestions as I bring a lot of experience to the table.

I'm confused... under regional there's a Canada Classified section:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=76

But sale posts show up all the time in the main classified in correct subforums.

Regional classifieds would be a GODSEND for people wanting local pick-up who don't need to clutter the regular classified sections.

Bump for a regional classifieds folder in Tri-state. I would even be willing to moderate it as well.
