What would you do to your FRS with $10K
OK. I am 90% sure I am getting an FRS. I actually have my "deposit" for the next White, Blue, or Gray one that the dealer gets. They have a white one coming in this week, but it is "sold". I bought a venza from my sales guy (who is actually a sales manager) before so he did not want the "deposit". Sad thing is there are red, silver and black ones available.
So the other option would be a used Cayman S. I would expect the Cayman S to be at least $10K more. Ready to drop that in to the FRS. My plan: 1) New wheels 2) New head unit 3) Supercharger !! As soon as there is a reliable supercharger (or maybe a turbo) is available, I am in. This need to be reliable. I know it will kill the warranty, but hey it needs to be done. |

keep in mind, the cost of ownership of a Porsche Cayman-S in considerably higher than a Scion FR-S or Subaru BR/Z. I just did a 40K scheduled maintenance on my 06' 997 and it set me back $2400 (would have been more if I replaced my rotors). Porsches are great cars and you can find some great deals on pre-owns but parts and labor are very expensive....just saying.

if i had 10k to play with... Wheels+Tires ~2k, Turbo Kit ~5k, Coilovers ~2K, Tuning ~1k... Then would still need some good aftermarket gauges + pod, probably some other suspension bits, and subframe braces... easily an extra couple K ... It's hard to stop once you start lol.

Turbo kit. Use the leftover money for supporting mods. These would make this car a DREAM come true.

If I had $15000 burning a hole in my pocket is put air ride suspension in it so I can lower it for an aggressive look or raise it so it could make it over the curb of the driveway
