Where the heck is the ECU

Dumb question. Where is the ecu mounted on this car?

Edit: the answer is behind the glove box to the right in the cabin.

I'm pretty sure it's on the left side of the engine

the ECU in this car is so small and light I didn't believe it was the ECU...checked the P/N online to be sure...It's amazing how far electronics have come...I think the heaviest and bulkiest part of the whole ECU package is the connectors...

anyway yeah it is basically behind the glove box....almost accessible from the bottom...almost

Is it visible without removing any interior parts? I'd like to take a picture of mine, before I take it to the dealer. They supposedly put the newer ECU in mine, but it still threw a CEL. I want to confirm I was running the 811 version.

Thanks!

Thanks - I found it. I was able to snap a picture of the last few digits. They DID put the newest (811) in mine. Didn't resolve my CEL issue

I held the 810 model in my hand. It was about the size of any other ecu. About 6x6

You guys are awesome. So the answer is in the engine compartment next to the glove box. Thanks again.

for the 2nd time in 1 page that is not the ECU...

the ECU is in the cabin between the glovebox and Firewall...hence...behind the glovebox...not next to the strut tower bolted to the motor........BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX :happy0180:

Ok found it. Im an idiot. Thanks guys. Here is a pic looking into the glove box. You can see it through that tiny opening in the back. Hope that clears things up for anyone looking for it.
