adamwild's Firestorm FR-S
Hi everyone - picked up my Firestorm Red FR-S 6AT on Monday 9/10.
I had been looking at the BRZ for a while and this color FR-S with $1000 "recent" grad rebate was too good to resist. I put a deposit on friday and picked it up monday. It is taking the place of my 2007 Audi A4 2.0t as my daily driver (47k in 2012) so my initial mods will be comfort > performance! At the dealership: ![]() When I got it home:

Congrats and good for you! I thought that Scion's were non negotiable,so I'm curious as to where the dealership came up with "extra" $$. You got over buddy! Enjoy it!

negotiation
Sticker price is what you pay with Scion - but Toyota Financial Services offers $1000/off if you are a recent college graduate or a member of our armed forces. That is what won it over the BRZ - Front end styling and interior trim was a toss up.

Audio build
Just wanted to throw some images in - today I hit 300 miles and I wanted to make some changes to the audio system.
Tried putting my old G2's in there... rendered trunk useless. ![]() After doing some research and testing, I understand that my BeSpoke powers the front dash speakers/tweeters, and the rear speakers. There is a small amp in the back that powers the door mid-bass. I am going to replace the factory amp with my Pioneer GM-D9500F 4 channel amp. The first channel will power a pair of SoundStream RBC.6 components (door speakers & the tweeters) I will leave the 4x4" speakers to be powered by the receiver for now, ![]() ![]() We'll see if the dynamat is effective. I'm hoping the components will add the depth and clarity I'm looking for. |
