127 MPG?

Why does the MPG max out at 127 when coasting?

Someone had a good insight the last time this was asked. 127 is 7 bits of an 8 bit byte with one bit for a check or negative value. In other words, it's a computer thing..

I think it's a made up number they put in there so the computer has something to calculate against when not cruising. Most cars go to 99 while cruising

127 mpg is incorrect. After 4 tanks of gas, I calculated my mileage to be 116 mpg. I feel that Toyota is misleading people into believing you can actually get 127 mpg.

I thought along those lines. 128 is 2^7, common in computing.

If you divide by zero, a singularity will occur and the universe will be sucked into another dimension.

It is done for the safety of you and the universe at large.
