Smile "Lexi" My First Car

Greetings FT-86 Club members,

This is actually my first car forum I have ever registered with. So this isn't really my first car. Had a 94 Camry when I was 16, a 06 civic ex when I was 19 that was generously bought for me by my grandfather who btw just recently passed away in August 16, 2012 . This frs will be my first ever car I begin to mod. I'm 23 now and I moved into a house with a bunch of car enthusiast in July 20, 2012 and I was exposed to the industry. My landlord works for Yokohama tires and another at Mackin Industries. One driving a nice modded evo X and one with a nicely modded RSX. Poor me driving a stock 06 civic ex but I didn't complain. I loved my civic; however seeing the FR-S billboards all over the city made me curious about this car. So, I told my roommates about me possibly getting a this car.

Began my voyage to find this car and I found out what a high demand car this was. Called and searched every single day finding the Whiteout color I want for my FRS. Gave up after the 3rd day went to a toyota dealership and was told that I needed to put a $500 deposit to reserve an order for the frs and color I want. What I didn't know is that it was unlikely for me to receive one until early 2013 due to the high demand and list of people who already made deposits. But still made a deposit of $500 on August 3rd 2012. I was prepared to wait until 2013 to receive the phone call from my dealer. Received a voicemail 6 days later saying that they had a surprise for me and to come by the dealership on August 11th 2012. I was ecstatic!!

Rushed over to the dealership first thing in the morning and saw this beautiful scene.

Walked in about 8:15am. Did the paper work and traded in my civic ex which I will badly badly miss. Thank you gramps for without your generosity i will not be riding in my Fr-S right now RIP .

In and out with new Fr-s with 7 miles on the odometer by 11am.

I consider myself really blessed and humbled to live such a wonderful life. I'm not rich. I was just so lucky to have the right people in my life.

Congrats 89! I liked your story. I attribute my motorcycle obsession to my late grandfather and for that alone he is forever etched in my memory. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your new ride.
