Ken Block’s Electrikhana

Technically impressive but the lack of an meaningful audio track made it sound somewhat sterile.

Now we know that sound actually adds to the motorsport experience.

That just sounds.....dull?
does kind of sound like go-kart racing though....

Then we have to wait 30mins for it to recharge for its encore lol.

I still found myself impressed with his driving but I do miss the sounds of an engine.

Looks like heavy Audi advertising, yawn.

I disagree. AWD EVs are capable of very impressive traction control and torque vectoring. The driver has much less to juggle while driving. Still impressive? God yes, but probably easier to do than his past ICE rides.

The noise of this thing is haunting.
It's a great change for these videos, but hopefully one of a kind.

To be fair, this likely wouldn't be possible without their backing and supplying of the car.

I never get tired of those reverse entry's with the AWD dig back out of them

All that stuff is disabled in this case, just like for a modern ICE drift missile. Still way easier to control with instant zero-speed full torque, agreed.

The sound is annoying like a very loud mosquito. Other than that, just another Ken Block video. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.

i kept thinking about that. by the end, i was watching just to try to detect if i could see a difference in wheel speed.

such a missed opportunity, not using in-hub motors, and altering their drive direction, or over-compensating the torque vectoring to make the car act otherworldly...

Unsprung weight. Doesn't mean they couldn't run the motors inboard of each wheel with a short CV to run them.

I'd still be more impressed if he did it in one take not a few dozen.
But hey, it's only been only 15ish years. He'll get there.
