GT86 in Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I just started watching GITS: SAC_2045 on NF, and in the first episode of season 2, I noticed a (presumably) electric GT86. All the cars in the show have a special wheel hub arrangement that's lighted up. Anyway, here's a couple of screen shots - thought it was pretty cool to see it:

Apparently it's a retro-model where they brought back the first gen front end!

What's old is new again! Well, this is proof that the model will carry on at least through Gen 5

At least in the anime universe.

Equally likely that it'd be a "classic car" someone upgraded the drivetrain on.

Plenty of old 60's era muscle cars with brand-new ECU-driven V8's in them these days.

There will be a few, but remember those retro mods are pricey and you never get your money back. They are more a labor of love.
