Seats & Air Bags

I bought a FRS and it already had a aftermarket seat with the airbag light on. I bought some BRZ seats and put them in and the light is still on. Not getting any error codes so is it the module. I really hope not because I don’t want to have to take it all apart and send it off to get cleared. Any experience with this?

And so none of my airbags will deploy if I get in a wreck?

What are you reading codes with? A generic OBD reader won’t be able to diagnose the SRS system. Best bet would be to get a dealer or a good Indy to scan it.

if the light is on, there's an error code associated with it. get the code first.
