Tpms light on

I just had my wheels swapped. I kept the same stock sensors and tires. The sensors have 17k miles on them. Immediately when I turned my car on to leave the tire place, my tpms light was on.

Do I have to drive a certain amount of miles before it goes away? Do I reset it some how?

First time using tpms, so not sure what to expect.

Thanks

Did you check the tire pressure in all four wheels? Should be 35 PSI.

Just had my winter rubber installed. Shop only inflated them to 30. TPMS triggered.

That didn't even cross my mind. Just assumed they would fill them up to the correct pressure. Started brainstorming about the worst case scenario.

Hoping that's the problem

Yup, lesson learned. I usually do all my maintence, because I don't trust other people. Unfortunately, I don't have the bigger equipment to do wheels.

My psi was all over the place. 37, 30, 32, 25. Put them all to 35 and after a minute the light went off.

Thanks!

Excellent!

Oh, and it's a natural tendency to jump to more exotic conclusions. We all do it and is why in any problem solving exercise, the collaborative process is so important.
