Approximately 30 days til I unite with my Whiteout FR-S.

Just put down a $500 dollar deposit this morning. A friend of a friend works at Scion of Norwalk and was able to help me out. Orders in a Whiteout MT. Arriving in close to 30 days!

Can't wait!

Deposit does not equal down payment. There also may be a trade involved.

I put down $14k but reserved my car with a $500 deposit.

Lot's of variables in payments depending upon: amount borrowed; length of loan and interest rate.....may want to check out:

www.tcalc.com

and run some scenarios that are specific to you...

iv already put my down payment down and got my stuff figured out, i was just wondering on how he worked it with the dealer- getting the car from as in his deposit and down payment, i just wasnt sure if all dealers work the same as in payment wise or not,.

exactly what the guy below said, im actually going to put between $3,500-4,500 down. No trade in on my end, I have a 2011 E92 BMW that is a lemon. collecting the paper work and going through the process of getting my money back right now. everything has been ok'd already. just the finishing touches are needed, and ill get most but not all of my money back.

wow... you must either have a really short, and decent payment monthly, or very small payments for a good amount of time

Yea. I decided I'm not doing anything greater than 48 months before going into this. $300 per month for 48 months and then I'm free.

I WAS going to be car payment free as of September this year but stuff was starting to get worrisome with my Jeep. I decided to get out while it was still in solid condition and get something more fun ON the road.

I would say... do what I did. Place a deposit down for one, but still do your own searching. I got mine after 2 weeks of calling around to check dealership shipment inventories. 1.5 weeks later, it was mine. so 3.5 weeks after calling around I got one. I took my deposit back from the first dealer once I solidified a car with the 2nd dealer. Keep in mind, dealerships WANT your business and will pretty much lie to you to get your business. I talked to a salesman who had a list of what cars were coming in (in a 400 mile radius) but said none matched my criteria. two days later, I talk to another dealership and they had the one I wanted coming in.
