Trouble installing Tomei 60s catback

It's seems all of the reviews for this exhaust say it's a 30 minute install and no one has had any problems with it but I can't seem to get the slip joints to stop leaking. I have all of the pipes butted up to the stoppers, the spring hooks lined up, the clamps torqued to spec and springs installed per instructions but it leaks at all 3 connections. I've tried moving the clamps to different areas of the slip joint (not really sure at what point the clamp is supposed to go) and I still get leaks. I'm afraid to torque it any higher than the spec in the instructions but has anyone had to do so? Any tips would be appreciated. Really scratching my head over here.

When I had my 60R, I don't recall it ever leaking at the joints. If I remember right, I had the clamps on where the slits stop, and I just tightened until it felt right enough, without warping anything.

Maybe I just need to get in there and wrench a little harder. I'm just worried about over doing it

I wasn't sure what the torque specs were; I just tightened my clamps really snug. No leaks, and I'm not even using the springs.

Can one of you Tomei owners take a picture of your installed clamps? I want to see how much thread you have sticking out to get an idea. Still leaking over here.

I think I'm gonna try a little Permatex Ultra Copper between the slips and go back to the recommended torque spec. Fingers crossed!

Hope this helps. Looks like about 5mm from the edge of the pipe to where the clamp starts:
