It seems that every couple of days we see reports on the forum of another crashed FR-S or BRZ, leading some to joke that the twins may be cursed.

Even if you don’t believe in curses, some serious driver error or extenuating circumstances must have happened for this FR-S to jump a curb, cross the grass, and crash into an office building.

Last weekend the FT86CLUB members from the Quebec area met up for their first ride and meet event, in the Laurentide, Quebec. The group saw a very nice turnout for their first meet & greet and have shared some photos inside.

The Fast and the Furious 6 movie is coming next Summer and the Subaru BRZ will be featured in the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. Subaru has reportedly supplied the movie crew with as many as five BRZs.

Hopefully we’ll see it in a starring role as one of the main character’s cars. And hopefully it will be tastefully modified. The movie is set to be released on May 24, 2013, so mark your calendars for the BRZ’s big screen debut.

This past weekend saw the first 86 Fest take place in Fontana, CA at the AutoClub SpeedWay. It featured tons of FR-S/BRZ/AE86 owners and their cars and vendors, as well as attendance by Formula D drivers Ken Gushi and Toshiki Yoshioka
