What do you get when you put together a bored FT86CLUB member, his family farm, a couple of GOPros, and a helicopter? This really cool and unique VIDEO!

The good news is that Toyota has finally officially announced a TRD Supercharger for the FR-S. The bad news? Well, it’s for racing use only and costs $26,000 (with a minimum order of 2 required)!

At this bulletin to Scion dealers says, the kit is set up for race teams only and isn’t intended nor legal for street use. The kit includes only the housing- manifold, rotor group, intercooler cores and low temp radiator. Any mounting/fitment details are the responsibility of the team purchasing the kit. Also, engine management software is the sole responsibility of the team.

Will there ever be a street legal TRD supercharger for the FR-S? We certainly hope so because this news was definitely a letdown.

86 guru and godfather Tada San recently gave an interview in which he spoke about the FT-86 Open Concept convertible. But that wasn’t the only interesting he spoke about.

He also discusses the joint project and collaboration with BMW, as well as his personal dream that the 86 becomes a family of several models and variants (like what BMW has done with the Mini). He even references a shooting break model!

Could we be in store for full rollout of various 86-based models? Let’s hope! Read the full interview INSIDE.
