Fastest BRZ In The World? 7 Second 1400 HP BRZ Goes for Record at LVMS

The BRZ and FR-S may not have been created with straight line speed as its forte, but that doesn’t preclude the aftermarket from making it a forte

18-time NHRA champion Ali Afshar will try to break a record at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in his monster BRZ, which runs the quarter mile in the 7’s and boasts 1400hp out of its Subaru EJ25 2.5L engine.

The run will take place this Sunday, May 5th at LVMS and the event is open for every driver that owns a Subaru, competing in four classes: All Motor Subaru, Street Subaru, Modified Subaru and Extreme Subaru.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m and the racing begins at 9:30 a.m. Competing fee is $80 and admission is $17.
