Not all LEDs on the market are made equal. Our LED chips use the largest die (largest chip size) for maximum brightness, which results in effective light transmittance and achieve a high luminous intensity.

Our high quality LED chips produce a unique, super white colour output that enhances your car’s aesthetics and sets it apart from others. Life span is also extended by high quality LED chips with high quality silicone to seal the LED chip for resistance to heat, UV and moisture. Therefore, this results in resistance to colour fade and discolouration with repeated use.

Other LED chips on the market may use a smaller chip size which does not produce sufficient and effective lighting for its intended use. Lower quality LED chips may also use epoxy as a sealant which may lead to colour fade, short life span and ineffective light transmittance. In our view, it would be a worthwhile investment to upgrade to quality LED products .You may spend more in total if you had to upgrade to better quality LEDs before you are satisifed.

Unlike the competition, HID_Powerhouse uses high quality components in all our LEDs. These components ensure longer life and better stability in color in all our LEDs. Many companies choose to go with the less expensive generic LEDs. These generic LED chips wear out very quickly, discolour and may possibly short-circuit your car's electrical system (blow your fuse(s) in many cases).

Indeed, the pictures of the product may be on the brighter side because the product pictures were taken in a controlled environment with photography gear and in some dark areas.

We just had a customer in the Vancouver, BC, Canada area that installed our LED white license plate lights, LED white reverse lights and LED dome light.

I snapped a daytime picture a customer's FR-S with the LED white license plate lights turned on and it is only somewhat visible during the day. At night, it is a very pure white, slightly whiter than the factory BMW and Lexus LED license plate lights.

The new reverse lights actually give off a nice amount of light when backing up and the look really good in person I think. So fair everything is good for light output however the dome light took some time to get use to but now my eyes have adjusted (you just dont expect it to be that bright)

We are planning on a group buy very soon for these LEDs (dome light, license plate lights and reverse lights).

For those looking for something less bright for the interior dome light, we carry those LED dome lights with less LED count, thus, less bright. It's really personal preference for how bright you would want to go. Given that there is just one interior light in the FR-S/BR-Z, I would like most people would like to go slightly brighter to light up the interior at night.

Our LED panels are made with high quality printed circuit boards with precise soldering points. The LED chips are designed, engineering and made in Japan. The LED chips have one of the highest life expectancy and maintains its original colour the longest. Many LED chips on the market colour fade very quickly and the colour/light output diminishes significantly. The male and female connectors are also from Japan, ensuring that the connection is proper and safe. Lastly, our LED panels use genuine 3M double-sided adhesive for customer who wish to mount their LED panel to their personal liking.

Buyer beware: Majority of the LEDs on the market are manufacturered by hand and there may be signs of poor soldering work on LED circuit boards. The FR-S and BRZ use the T10 (194/168/2825) incandescent light bulb from factory. This is the same bulb that is used on the Lexus CT200h.
