Rear seat question, version 2.0

Those who already own a brz, have you guys tried put 2 more guys at the back seat? do they fit?
yes i knew this topic has been heavily discussed, I have heard alot comments like ' i went to the auto show(or test drive), ........'
but since now there are 30+ people actually own the car(i appreciate your brz photos), i would like to hear the 'real' experience.
thanks in advance!

No.

I don't fit behind the driver's seat and my head doesn't fit even in the passenger side rear seat - I'm 5'10".

Back seat should be ok for kids - well, not really behind a tall driver.

That said, once back there the rear seat is incredibly comfortable!

Im 5'8" and my head barely clears the rear window. If you have a small person in the passenger seat you can fit another small person in the back behind the passenger. But the way I drive theres no way in hell anything with legs will fit behind the drivers seat.

They only way you're going to fit any adult with legs in the back seats is if you have someone very short up fron and even then it's going to be uncomfortable.

I am 5' 11", but have long legs and my wife is a hair under 5' also with longer legs. She sat behind me during my BRZ test drive and while we both fit, I was closer to the wheel/pedals than I would have liked and she couldn't move her legs or feet. Her legs were straight in front of her with her feet under my seat. She found it very uncomfortable. I will not that she does like to complain so take it for what it's worth .

Remove the back seats. Save the weight. It's a 2 seat coupe -- unless you're an insurance company.

I'm about 6 foot so there's basically no one that would be comfortable sitting behind me. Yesterday however, I had a friend that is about my height and probably 250 pounds, sitting in the front while another friend about 5 foot 11 and 130 pounds sat in the back. It probably wasn't the most comfortable thing for them but we did do it for a short jaunt.

Cool! I'm a 5'4'' asian, my GF is 5'2'' and my friends/family are about the same size (between 5'-5'5''). So I really hope that I can bring them around when I want to :S Only my brother is exceptionally tall for the family (5'8'') lol.

Finally being a small asian is good thing? haha

I'm 6'0, and with the driver seat set up perfect for me, there's about 3 or 4 inches between the back of my seat and the rear left seat. So that means if I want to drive comfortably or safely, there's really only 2 other seats available. I drove 2 co-workers who are approximately 5'0 to 5'4 or so, and they could fit in the passenger-side seats, but there really wasn't much wiggle room. It's possible to fit 3 or 4 people into this car, but I strongly suggest against it unless you absolutely have to.

thanks. i am only 5'7''. do you think i could save like a 6 inches room for the distance between the back seat and driver seat? or is 6 inches room big enough to fit legs?

I can put two car seats and my 5 and 7 year old in the back. With driver seat in the optimal position (6 1 Driver), my 7 year old was complaining of tight space (a few inches of gap between the backseat and his legs).
Practically, back seats can be used by adults only for short drives.

Yea I was wondering the same thing. Since I'm the oldest of 4, Im going to need to take all my siblings everywhere and was wondering if they would all fit. Im 5 '8, my two sisters are 5'1 and 5'5 and my brother is 5'5. Will we all fit? I could sacrifice my comfort a bit for someone behind me and my 5'1 sister could sit in the passenger side. that way thers a lot of room for the person behind her. Also, how do would you guys define "short drives"? Should a 1 hour ride be okay? Thanks

my wife fit fine behind the 5'5" sales guy during our test drive.

Back seats are useful for throwing stuff back there, kids, and transporting adults in a pinch.

I'm 5'8" and I feel like I don't even dare try to use the back seat, at least on the driver's side. When the car arrived at our dealer my supervisor and I tried to fit in the driver's side, me in the front - he barely fit at all and my knees were in the steering wheel. He's 5'9".

I just think of it as a coat rack.
