I have them.

Firestorm about to get PDI'd at my dealership two days ago, one of 4 we received that day. The three others were Firestorm, Argento, and Raven.

These cars are special. As such I don't joyride in customers' FR-S Scions, and I adhere to Scion Pure Pricing, meaning there's no markup. If you're a serious buyer, I can get you the car PM me for more info.

Small update for Putnam Toyota's cars, they will be available once the leather is finished being installed

^ Nice "additional feature" there.

I also do high quality custom leather installations, but I allow my customer to choose from my leather pallet and give them a choice of color and stitching, instead of assuming what the customer wants, then charging extra for the dealer's choice of leather.

I have one MT Raven in stock right now.

PM me IMMEDIATELY for my contact information if you're a serious buyer and want to take it home NOW.

After a day of looking around and advice from a couple of very helpful folks (like juicyjosh above) I found a red MT in Vacaville, at sticker, and was in and out in less than two hours. Dan Schmitz is Scion of Vacaville's Internet guy and kept the deal very straightforward. Not even a hard sell in F&I. Thumbs up.

Congrats! I think I saw you on 580 West when it parallels the BART tracks...around 3PM. I even had my mom take a picture because it was the first FR-S I saw in motion in person. I followed you for a while but you were snaking through traffic haha I was in a grey Corolla

...I'm not the one who works for them aha. But IMO, no leather would've been better.

Its a shame you don't also give the customer the choice on mounting the front licence plate. I know a few members on here are saving the bumper and using the GrimmSpeed or RHO-Plate front.

Something to think about on the future vehicles coming in.

For most cases, it's part of the PDI.

Cool! That was me -- trying to get some break in miles on it.

BTW, Vacaville didn't drill the front bumper -- they didn't even ask about it, just left the holder in the trunk.

True.

But again, I don't markup, and I don't let just any window shopper test drive. I myself have only spent about 30 seconds in a moving FR-S as it was being brought to the third floor of my lot to be PDI'd.

Today I spoke with a few people whom I've placed on my FR-S waitlist, and I've been told of dealerships whoring out their FR-S inventory to every ricer sales rep and tech before selling it to a customer, then markups in the thousands, adding their choice of leather then charging extra and we've all seen the vids on YouTube of people doing burnouts and drifting customers' pre-ordered FR-S's.

My FR-S's are well cared-for as a reward for my paying customers. These are the jewels of my dealership. No "options" are added, and my FR-S's are priced only according to Scion Pure Pricing.

PM me your 1st and 2nd desired color/transmission preference and I'll provide my contact information.

If you're worried about your bumper just TALK to your dealer. Bring the plate holder with you. As long as you have an alternative already. They'll help you out. Having a front plate is legally required so they are just doing some CYA. As long as you leave the lot with something mounted up front. Their job is done. I'm bringing my Grimmspeed mounting kit with me when the car gets in so they can install it and will have done their part they are legally required to do.

Also the black AT at one Toyota in Oakland is gone already. I knew it wouldn't last long. I'm willing to bet Josh's cars won't last long either.

Oh, all the cars in City Toyota's are gone. The didn't have a list so it's first came first served right before I went there.

Looks like the black one is still available. It was listed on Craigslist 3 times today, by two different sales guys. Not exactly the most professional of ways to go about it. Isn't that TJ fella supposed to be their internet manager?

Kind of shady. TJ posted here that it was gone already yesterday. Those three posts are also from yesterday. Sounds like someone was trying to snipe the sales.

are they letting people sit in it/test drive? might go visit just to see it since it's close to work. No way I'm paying their markup/addons premium though. (And it's the wrong color for me)

I just went to see the red one at 101. The sales guys were pretty nice, let me sit in the car and check it out, but no test drive. It's being kept in a garaged area. They said it only has 3 miles or so on it but I didn't/couldn't verify. The leather seats are not installed yet. But the markup amounts to something like $3K for the leather and $595 for tint. Car is auto, with trunk mat and rear bumper applique. Oh and no front plate installed yet. The guy who showed me the car said there are multiple deposits down for the next car which is supposed to be white (white and black are popular preorders he said). The guy also said the markups for the leather and tint are negotiable. Sounds like they are trying to make a nice profit on these items, but if you are in the market for a red auto and wanted leather and tint anyways, might be worth trying to talk them down some.

I stopped by Carlsen Subaru today to get a look at the BRZ. They had 2 on the lot, WR Blue Premium is sold and DGM Premium is available... at $1K markup, firm. Got to sit in it but no test drive. Sales guy did put in the key and fired it up, so I could see it had 10 miles on it. FYI the front bumper has been repainted, he said it was scraped coming off the truck.

It's been an interesting day, having sat in both FR-S and BRZ... now to make a final decision...

Wait, you can tell the front bumper was repainted? That's no bueno. Then they throw a 1k mark up on that? Hell no. Heeeelllll no. What do they think this this is made out of? Some rare metal we'll never see again? In 2013 you'll be able to buy these cars anywhere.

I know, seems like the fact that it was damaged and repaired, they should be knocking $1000 off.

I didn't really ask about the bumper, he just out and said that it had to be repainted. I did see noticeable orange peel in the paint along the bottom of the front bumper and fender. But I think I read others saw the same thing on other BRZs so perhaps that is a common issue/characteristic of these cars.

I told him I was willing to wait until next year to pay MSRP rather than pay the markup... he kind of shrugged and said there were plenty of people willing to pay it. No sense arguing so we went our separate ways.
