If you want to stay around 300$ a month, expect to to need 8-10K down and a very good 60 or 72 month loan interest wise. What trim are you looking at?

In all honesty, you can get to whatever monthly payment you want if you change any factors of the loan.
At the end of the day, only pay what you are willing to pay, nothing more. |

BRZ4me, is the 1.99% APR a special offer by your dealership? Given an excellent credit score, I hope 1.99% APR are offered by Subaru Financing to all areas/regions.

This was not Subaru financing. Dealer arranged financing.

Some of the websites actually have a version of the calculator that lets you know what your payments will be if you begin making larger than necessary payments too. There should not be a single number or penny you don't know about prior to walking into a dealership to buy any new car. That's why I have a grand total in my head and make a phone offer with "take it or leave it". |

FWIW I just got 1.94 for 60 months, financing 22.5K. Credit score is over 780 and DTI is <5%.
I'm not sure which bank that's with but I'll post that once I get the car today.

anything over 400 would be a bit high for me,
I need payments to be within 10% of my income (I don't make that much )

Just make sure when you go shopping at the dealer that you never tell them you need a car at a specific payment per month..

We told them we wanted to pay around 300 for my used 08 wrx with 8k miles on it. It was 25,5 at the time and with the 09's coming out with the better performance, I'm assuming they wanted to get the 08 off the lot and gave it to me for 17,9 to get right above 300. Of course, if you tell them you can pay 550 for a 25,5 car, thats when you get screwed. Oh and back on topic, I'm trying to do 6k down at 1.99. With a limited and TTL, that comes out to 433 a month. |
