Hello everyone! Picked up my Whiteout 6 AT from Maita Toyota on 6/1/12. Just did a drive to Yosemite National Park this Sunday and loved how stable it is taking those corners.

Hey everyone thought I'd come by and say hello =)
Been driving my FRS since June 9 and I'm loving it. Like plenty of people, I've been waiting for this car for a long time as well. When I pre-ordered it, I kept it a secret from everyone I know. Worth the three month wait, and worth surprising people with! I've had a 1990 miata previously, and I have on occasion driven my boyfriends mazdaspeed3. Hope to talk to you guys more! |

Hey everyone, new to the forums and really much of everything these days. Don't even have a facebook page! I'm very old school when it comes to certain things, as you can tell from what I used as a daily driver until about a year ago. Good gas saver that inline was. Currently driving 98 jeep that gives me about 12 mpg to hold me over till I get something else. Its about to give out on me so went window shopping not to long ago on other vehicles. I would've loved to get another mustang but its just too cramped in these newer ones, and not really jumping much in mileage even if I just got the v6 version. I miss simple motors
. Anyways, was looking for cheaper (not cheaply made, but cheap in regards to the cost of the vehicle itself) vehicles that still gave good mileage and were as fun and head turning as my baby, but also enough room to sit comfortably and have room for other things just in case. It all came down to a Veloster, Genesis, Corolla, Tc (don't really like the boxy style of the new ones, rather prefer the older curvy style) and some other ones that I forgot about, getting old here. Didn't really like fwd or awd, but if I had to, I would. After searching around a bit, and researching some of these cars I came across the Scion Fr-s, the production model not the concepts. I saw that it has great mileage and good power for how low and lightweight it was! The looks blew me away, just love curves. And the fact that it was rwd was a plus! So had to drive it. Went to my local toyota/scion dealership and spoke to a salesman about test driving one they just had delivered for stock. Sadly when I found out that it was already purchased by the manager and that he doesn't let people test drive it, I was distraught . After the salesman saw that i was truly interested in purchasing a car here soon, he went and talked with the manager about letting me just test drive it for a couple minutes. I got lucky, apparently, from what the other salesman told me, "He let you drive it? He wont even let us near it or pop the hood!", "I've been asking him for the past month if I could just sit in it!", heh. So immediately as we started the test drive, everything felt smooth, not too loud, not too soft, everything was near where i wanted it to be and it had ac, yes ac, mine didn't :o. We took it on the interstate and tested some of the handling, not rough, though I never had to agree about completely going all out, I wouldn't do that to the manager or the salesman. Handling was very smooth compared to others I have driven for just test drives, not much noise when going 70-80mph and seats felt comfortable. After liking it so much I ended up putting an order on a whiteout with manual, considering that it gets over 100 here on days. Currently am waiting for it at the end of July or early September from what the salesman told me. He said maybe sooner. Been keeping up with any information I could find on this forum, and I thank everyone for the information and history about this car that you have posted on this entire forum, as this was my main and only source for looking up the car. I intend to take care of this car as I did my 40+ year old car. Thank you for having me here and letting me be a part of this community.Rick |

Argento FR-S in da house
Drove 70+ miles yesterday morning to see an Argento automatic FR-S. Test drove it and bought it. Great little car. Wish it had a little more torque on the low end but the handling just makes it too much fun.
Drove out last Saturday to a dealer that said they had a Firestorm automatic that was available. Got there and there it was. Test drove it and knew the FR-S was what I had been looking for. But not that one. Looked at the odometer and it had over 1500 miles on it. Would not come down on the price at all - full sticker. And I guess that's why it's still sitting there. I thought the Firestorm would be the color I wanted but after seeing it in person I wasn't all that thrilled with that red on that car. I considered Whiteout and knew where one was available, but after seeing the Argento that was the color for me. |

Hi!
I am fudd.. i currently drive a 2006 Hilux single cab, 4.0l waiting for the delivery of my FT86 which should arrive in the next 10 - 15 years or so it feels like.. Used to be big into the car audio scene over here in Aust for years, the 86 may get a small system, something thats easily removable for track days etc. anyway, you may see me lurking.. maybe commenting. but possibly lurking.. till mine arrives.. then ill be out driving hahaha |

Hello fellow FR-S enthusiasts!
Like many of you, I've been stalking this forum for the past few months and getting some very valuable information from all of you. I'm currently on a wait-list for an AT Asphalt at Longo Scion in El Monte, CA. I put down my deposit on 5-25 and I'm patiently waiting for my number to be up! Thanks to everyone contributing to this forum and I can't wait to be part of the FR-S owner's club!!! Cheers!!! Marlo Simi Valley, CA |

Greetings! I was all set to get a used 4Runner 4x4 about 2 weeks ago and then I heard about the FR-S. Flash forward to today where I hit a couple of lots and happened upon a fellow buying an Asphalt MT - I got to test drive his in front of him because he hadn't started his paperwork - I felt bad, but not that bad!
Anyways, the sales lady happened to hear that there was an Asphalt AT coming in that someone had changed their mind about and just a few hours later it's mine. I'm actually going to be buying the sales lady a little present! It was obviously right place and right time - I would've held out for a MT, but I really needed a car asap and when the universe gifts you, how can you say no? I can't wait to take possession later in the week! Very glad to be here! |

Until then I've told the sales rep that I coming in to the showroom every week to take the demo car for a run, funny things he thought I was joking. Wait till I show p next week. |

Hey everybody. Like many, I am a long-time lurker of these forums. I think I started reading this site over a year ago. I finally decided to create an account and join the conversation.
I'm from the US, Wisconsin specifically. I am also a long time german car guy, who is considering a FR-S/BRZ! Gasp! Actually I have seen others on these forums who have owned or currently own a german car. Anyway, see you around. |

Hi folks, been trying to follow the ft86/gt86/frs/brz since I first heard of it and had the pleasure of winning a drive up the Goodwood hillclimb in a pearl white GT86 on Thursday. Any way I've been a Celica owner for a few years now and have been impressed by the new sports coupe (about time too
). Now I'll admit I'm not a massive fan of Subaru and never saw the point of the "collaboration" but I can ignore the fact it has a flat four boxer since it doesn't have that annoying "boxer burble" you get on Subarus.Hopefully I'll get the chance to own one soon but the way things are at the moment I'll not be in the market for a new car for a few years yet (unless I win the lottery )So, hi, bout ye, hows it going, howdy, ni hao, konichiwa, and whatever other greetings I can't think of right now

Hello All,
I just picked up my Asphalt MT FR-S from Jeff Chang at Longo Scion. I've been driving an S14 for about 8 years now and am glad to have finally found it a buddy to split the mileage with. Thank you Toyota & Subaru for making this possible. |
