Its funny how the GC tied with the Miata. I guess they both had ups and downs that leveled out.

I trust R&T far more than any other automotive magazine. One of the reasons is the informative data panel from test drive articles. Here's the link to the one for this comparison.
http://www.roadandtrack.com/var/ezfl...d904352378.pdf

I'd add the link to the opening post. If you care about the BRZ, spend some time analyzing the stats in this PDF.

How in the heck did the BRZ lose in storage space to a freaking Miata, by no small margin either...

I know it is subjective but I don't know how they found the Miata to be the best looking. I've always thought the Miata has remained one of the most uninspired looking cars year after year.

Edit: Disregard all that, I'm a moron.

I'm an idiot.

I wish the BRZ had won transmission. After dealing with my Si's for 5 years I'm anxious to have one that is better. (granted a lot of the Si's transmission issues were related to a poor clutch master cylinder)

I seem to recall a review slamming the BRZ for not being able to drift... :P

Also, I love how you can see the balance in the BRZ drifting. Where it can transition from one turn to the next in a drift with a single fluid motion, you really see the GC "snap" from one direction to the next. The drifter explains this a little with the G forces, but it's wild how visibly apparent it is.

The GC1 looked great (slightly-uninspired grille treatment notwithstanding).
Now if there was a way to get the gen 1 GC body on the gen 2 GC guts....
For under 25k? It still wouldn't handle like the BRZ/FRS, but it would look much better than it does now...

Go us. Again.

I wish there was stiffer competition out there. It would be better for all auto enthusiasts.

Hilarious that the Miata reminds Yoshihara most of the AE86.
