I am making the dealer sign something so they don't drill any holes/etc for the front plate and no stickers! They can put the rear plate in a TGS holder if they want. I'll make/buy a plate relocater set-up.

I already have my custom plates Haven't ordered the car yet, but I will soon... Firestorm red 6MT and I am thinking about the stereo upgrade.
Bel-Air was cool with not mounting the front plate, but said they usually mount it in the lower position anyways. I took the sticker off and the plate surround, no biggie.
I have the Premium stereo, really like the sound, and the touchscreen is quite nice and it completes the interior.

The one you saw last week is mine. I was out of town when it was delivered last Thursday night and didn't find out they had it until today. Signed my papers though so Friday is delivery day.

There was a Raven FRS in Kanata (Bridlewood) that I think was the car I ordered and someone else bought because I changed my color choice. I don't think the owner is on these boards though.

T-minus 3 hours until pickup. Can't wait.

Oh and the BRZ looks way better in person than it does in photos. The LED DRLs and HID are spectacular. The cloth in the center of the seats and the nav are also very nice. I love the FR-S too, at this point I just couldn't wait any longer for a car.

Good afternoon all. Will Slick or Pastuch or any other FRS/BRZ enthusiasts be in the Merivale area tonight at around 8-9pm. Sure would like to hook up and see the Firestorm FRS and White BRZ In the daylight. Doesn't have to be Merivale, I am in Barrhaven if this helps pick a place.

Thumbs up

I went to the MCO lapping school today with my 330i - my wife didn't want me to track her new FR-S Maybe next year.

Slick, who was instructing, took me for a few laps in his FR-S. OMG, it was incredible what he could do on a track with the FR-S. His car control was incredible, clipping apexes to turn the car and controlled high speed drifts. Thank you Slick for showing what me what an FR-S is capable of!!!

Well then, you definitely need two FR-S's.

The 330i must have been a lot of fun to take out too. Slick showed up at M&M along with Mike and Paul in their black beauties. Another fellow (sorry, forgot your name) brought out the Hot Lava he just bought so we had a good FR-S representation on hand. Even the asphalt demo unit from TG made an appearance. CorollaKen and I formed the "jelly" group, drooling over the cars and wishing ours would get here NOW dammit!

Smile Finally on board!!

I finally decided to join the Forum after meeting
Slick, Pbrown, and CorollaKen at M&M. Klinn I have met
a couple of times, he took me for a Vet ride of my life.
normancw, we missed you. I was originally number
four at TG but number two for pick-up. It was a great
experience. Thanks Jen and John!
I counted five FR-S at M&M. I was so excited about tonight,
I forgot to put my newly charged battery, back in the camera….

Wow, sorry I missed this. There are still 3 colors of FRS I have yet to see and I'd be happy to share the BRZ experience with you fellas. Let me know the next meet. I'm off pager duty on Wednesday.

Oh and the BRZ is totally amazing by the way. I love everything about it. Between the outstanding transmission and steering feel I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face. Just a few 30 minute excursions so far... (STUPID JOB!)

Couple interesting facts and opinions about the BRZ Premium (Canadian):

1. Unlike the FR-S the BRZ doesn't include the USB and aux connectors on the Premium, only the Sport Tech has it. Kind of annoying.

2. The Subaru standard Pioneer AVIC X9310B is better than the unresponsive Pioneer unit they get in the USA. The Pioneer X9310B can not play FLAC audio from the SD-Card slot. Bluetooth audio pairing, phone calls and the NAV all work very very well. The touchscreen is a little awkward compared to my Galaxy s2 smart phone but I think I'll get used to it.

3. The Subaru has a $750 Ski Instructor Rebate (CSIA) as well as a grad rebate.

4. Photos do not do the BRZ justice at all. The lights in particular are jaw dropping. I think it's one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen in person. Same goes for the FR-S. I had 3 people yell at me to ask what it was on the way home from the dealership... Rush hour.

5. The BRZ has lower insurance rates than the FR-S.

6. I prefer the center seat fabric on the BRZ to the FR-S for hot days.

7. Two keys and a third valet key are standard on the BRZ.

8. My very good friend JM sat comfortably in my BRZ, he's 6'5' and with the seat on the floor he had almost 2 inches of clearance above his head. His body type is long legs, short torso. Seat was all the way back, he'd have a difficult time driving it but as a passenger he was quite comfortable. Most sports cars he can't even get in.

9. It looks better without fog lights.

10. I'm tired and should be sleeping but the car is keeping me up.

1. I thought the plugs are in the glove box?

2. That is good to hear.

It is actually better designed this way so that you can hide your phone. The down side is that you need to remember to take it when you leave the car.

I disagree, the little phone compartment next the usb/aux jacks on the FRS (And brz) is perfect. with a 5 cm aux cable and a 5cm usb cable it's very clean and easier to access than the glovebox. These are minor gripes though, as long as the ports are there I'm happy. Really enjoying the 32gb microsd card I have in my car. Thats a shit-load of MP3s!

Yes, this is more or less a preference thing. Some would put a used ipod in the car and leave it there while others would use their phones. There are pros and cons of each scenario, and there is no right or wrong.

Does the OEM GPS comes with a 32 GB SD card? In the US ppl seems to leave the OEM intact and plug in their own, saying that the OEM ones also comes with map and whatnot. Is this true?

Speaking of flash storage, one can also use the very tiny thumb drive and plug in to the usb port and be done with that.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320904646537...84.m1438.l2649

There are many options.. which is good for us.

The Pioneer deck must include built-in storage because the micro sd card slot is vacant. I had a 32gb lying around so I figured I would try it and it works wonders. I tuned the equilizer a little and now I'm more than satisfied with the audio (And I'm picky as hell). Flac would be nice but isn't necessary. The built-in nav seems really current, I drove over one road that is less than a year old and it recognized it.

The bluetooth audio streaming and phone works great too.

Just spent an hour with the BRZ and my face hurts from all the smiling and laughing. Even with the traction control on the tail is very happy. Can't wait to turn it off but I promised myself at least 2k km before I do.

It was the Tony Graham demo Ashpalt. The hot lava belonged to Nathan who resides in Quebec city.
