They had 3 or 4 cars in the first batch, silver, black, blue and another color. Only GTS man they had in that first allocated batch they received was the blue which I was told would be assigned to me and they will try to swap it for a white one. Alex who is my sales rep pretty much kept me up to date up the status and stuff. Andrew called me up today since Alex had a day off to provide me with an update etc for Alex... now thats pretty top service and Andrew even told me that he was disappointed since I was the first pre order at the dealership and wasn't the first one to receive their car

Not the dealers fault. Toyota's fault. There should have been a proper pre-order system. 1st in 1st serve.

Subaru did it ? How hard would it be ?

There's probably only 150 people in Australia that think the Subaru system worked well, and amongst them there would still be some thinking WTF.

Well the 27 VIP customers that pre-ordered early were allocated cars, b4 the site went live.

27 pre orders seems weak if you ask me. They knew what to expect with the 86 already out.

But if they are $5000 as first reported I'm not that surprised. I'd want to see one before laying down that kind of money. As it stands people had to buy them before they got the chance to see them anyway. I wonder what kind of get out clause if any was available online.

Nope wasn't $5k everywhere - my mate put $1k deposit down for a black BRZ manual at Sydney dealer. Was told just last week about the price and that he could have it a month or so - he wasn't even asked to increase his deposit to $3k like a lot of people had also. But anyways he declined the offer as he is looking at buying a WRX now.

So if anyone ordered the above spec - you can expect your car a little sooner i guess.

Not happy everyone!! Just confirmed with my Dealer that ALL 86's from 1 October will NOT have a spare wheel or cover!! Just a can of 'goop' Not even a 'spacesaver'!!

Making enquiries now about whether a Corolla late model 16" 5-stud will fit the GT, not sure about the GTS tho!

GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

My order status changed to "In Production" today - I've got an ETA of 26/08. Won't be in the country though

So if anyone is wondering about when your order will go in to production it's pretty much 5 weeks before your stated ETA.

Most definitely not. The 86 is 5x100 PCD. The Corolla is 5x114.3 PCD.

Just track down a Subaru Impreza space saver.

i was one of the pre-orders and i wasnt allocated one before it went live..
I was told that i get put to the top of the queue though...

still no word on when i get it though

And is it all year Impreza's?

Everything recent excluding STi. STi is 5x114.3.

Prius stud pattern is different. The Impreza is the one you need to source. They should be easily found through a wrecker.

Rang around Thursday, located an unallocated car due for delivery, got a deposit on it by Saturday and got my tracking details today. I am one very happy camper now.

It will update to scheduled for production on the 1st of Aug and most likely to in production around the 10th.
