I am curious as to this. The BRZ supposedly has a softer stock rear spring rate. is this the reason the FR-S has a sticker stating "this car has been modified and the overall load carrying capacity reduced by 8lbs"? I am assuming the BRZ sus is the original and the FR-S being stiffer is the "modified" thus reducing the overall capacity. Please correct me if I am wrong.

That I am not sure of to be honest, maybe someone else can chime in on this with more info? BTW, loving the JZZ3 in your pic, I am currently building one myself

Thanks,
Rick

That was the one I had in japan. I also had a 5mt when I lived in Layton, Utah. I had Tein coilovers, Recaro seats and a host of other stuff I brought back from Japan...thats the good thing about that car having the same chassis as the Supra! It truly is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

I think it's because of the spring rate difference between BRZ and FR-S in the rear. I mean it's only 8 lbs, but my friends BRZ doesn't have it and he noticed it sitting in my car. Golf clubs and my wife are about all that will be in my car.

The Tein rates are mixed up front to rear. Should be 3.0/4.6, not 4.6/3.0

Good Catch! I swear I triple checked that when I posted as I had to convert from Japanese to English originally.

Thanks again!
Rick
