What if they photoshopped them black based on incorrect information, or a wrong interpretation of information? They might have been thinking they were acting in the best interests of the consumer, to show the car as they believed it would be produced...

Issue I can think of is the mis-match potential between exterior and interior colours. Personally I only tolerate red interior bits on monochrome colours (white, silver, gray, black). And that's tolerate. I want a silver car with an all black interior.

Completely agree - that concern had been off my radar as I have already decided on SWP, but with orange or even blue, not good at all. Silver shouldn't be too bad. But really the red is the only color it fully suits provided it is colour-matched.

I have said before and still believe Canada and the USA will have the same seats, with the red accents. The part numbers are the same, the pictures were preproduction/photoshopped for the Canadian website and mistakes were made/information wasn't 100% correct.
Once it shows up at your dealer, you'll see the red .(Or if they use actual pictures on the Scion.ca website soon) Jeff

Well you've got colHolm (who works for Toyota Canada, IIRC), and myself who has access to the parts catalog as well saying that it's going to have the red, versus some guy at a car show.
Meh. I don't put much faith in the information "reps" have at car shows. Jeff

One factor suggesting that the seats will be all-black is that those photos of black seats have been up at Scion.ca for weeks now. If this was an error, surely Scion folks would have caught and fixed it by now. When they accidentally posted the price a few days in advance of the public release they had it down within a day or two.

Eh the black stitching doesnt bother me at all (my car has black stitching...(actually its more dark grey than black) on the leather wrapped wheel and shift boot)
I just like the color contrast the stitching gives to th interior. breaks up the monochrome blackness of a black interior. Its how i like having some silver colored trim here and there as long as it doesnt look like an out of place tacked on piece of crap. and my seats have dark blue colored inserts :P |

![]() I was offering up a hypothetical scenario ... That being said, we won't have to wait too much longer to see if the Canadian-spec production units have the red accents.

Guys, How many photos have we seen of the car, from reviews, to shows, to test drives, to spottings at HQ....every real life photo of this car has Red accents. I just can't see scion scrapping it for Canada...doesn't make a lot of sense. And if you look closely to the flash "360" FRS on the canadian website it has red accents. Beneale...what I meant by obvious reasons is that som e people can't give their sources away and jepordize their jobs for conflict of interest. |
