You can ask them whatever you like.. I wonder if you might get a little further saying you are with a "media outlet" rather than just an excited individual owner-to-be.

But I could be wrong..

Well, if this is the case, then there is no reason to scout out the BNSF facility.

I wonder where in Aurura they would be storing the cars.. maybe there is a regional auto transport company with a depot in Aurora.. They might shuttle the cars from the rail yard to the transport depot and then fill them onto trucks from there.

Just called SOA, and my status is unchanged from last Friday, when I was told it had been loaded onto the train. ETA is unchanged as 05/29.

This may change "after" my car actually comes in, but I will most likely NEVER buy another Subaru again. It happens to be my first Subaru too. In a day and age where you can track a package anywhere around the world a global company like Subaru can't tell me where a car is at a certain time? And not be able to tell me when it will arive? This entire experience has left a bad taste in my mouth that I will not easily forget.

lest we forget that all those seattle people didnt have their status change from the 15th or 18th and their cars came 3-5 days early.

Just got an e-mail from an SOA rep:

Unfortunately, our database only shows updates when the vehicles arrive at certain checkpoints. The details of those checkpoints are not disclosed to us. However, your order status does say that the train transporting your vehicle has arrived at its first destination. The ETA is still showing 5/29.

I'm assuming first destination is Chicago???

Seattle guy here- my ETA was 18th, then 15th, then 18th again, then 13th, then 11th, and I actually got it on the 14th. 4 days earler than original ETA.

Good luck guys! We're all pulling for you. And don't let this bad experience ruin your idea of Subaru- the cars should speak for themselves, and subies are really great cars. Just buy in stock ones! haha. The logistics division clearly sucks, but the engineering, development, and manufacturing are pretty top notch.

oh man. Let me remember here. (dug through the thread and found all the dates)

5/2: ETA of the 18th acquired from SOA
changed to the 15th on the 9th
changed back to the 18th on the 10th
Changed to the 15th on the 11th, late at night
Changed to the 13th on the 12th
arrived on the 14th (truck driver probably took sunday off I'm guessing)

I am #1 at Maple Hill Auto Subaru, still Wait List. However they are getting a Black Premium BRZ with an ETA of the 29th. Have no idea how they are getting it as their first BRZ when they didn't have it Pre-Ordered

Kind of bummed out I won't have the first one in the area, let alone this dealership.
