super GT in 3D

Greetings everyone!
I recently registered here,but I was lurking for quite some time
since I'm a toyota fan,and I love japanese cars in general

My relationship with cars
is that I like to model them in 3d haha

So I shamelessly joined here to ask some help about technical stuff :P

I'm not sure if I will fit here as the oddball that I am but I would appreciate
some help in the future

Here's is what I'm working on in my free time



It is a 2005-2006 Supra from Super GT racing series.
The car will also be available as a mod for a racing simulator once it is finished.

It is still a work in progress and currently trying to figure out the suspension system in the front

Very nice work, id love to see your BRZ GT300 model.

Are you going to import your softimage render to Rfactor? I know alot of softimage modelers only use it for gaming. I only play with 3DsMax soly for low poly compositing and art.

WingsofWar subaru is one of the cars I would love to model but probably someone else will do it faster than me

Yes the car will be in a game probably Rfactor as well but I'm also looking for more recent games that can handle more polygons per model

I want to make a very detailed model,but as I mentioned my knowledge on mechanical parts is next to zero,so help is needed and appreciated

models are very simple since I'm trying to find the correct setup,then model it properly.

You know you're on the right track when you can match up your model to still images. Great work man. Keep it up.

I use Maya and C4D.

Thanks a lot,Actually I do the matching before the modeling stage
but then, not all pictures are from the same car, so there are some differences between teams\and races...
This problem is unique only to this car, my other GTcars\cages match nicely :P
