Outdoor car cover?
Search sucks on this site. Any recomendations? I want quality but would rather not pay $400. But any feedback is appreciated!

It depends on what you're buying it for. Sun protection? Water protection? Ding protection?
From what I've researched, car covers are a PITA. Unless your car is SPOTLESS when you put it on, you're going to end up with scratches from the cover moving with the wind (or even just from putting it on and taking it off). I bought a Covercraft Evolution 4-layer cover for ding-protection. My driveway in the Fall season is a war-zone with falling acorns acting as mortars. Every car we have has a dented roof - I'm striving to keep this one safe from harm. It seems decent, but since I haven't washed my car since receiving it I haven't installed it yet. I can update after this weekend once I've installed it, if you like. |

If the car is waxed and clean when installed, a good, properly fitting and properly secured cover will not cause any damage. I swear by Covercraft's Noah covers, I have been using them for years and have one for each of my three cars. Although I rotate them, one car always stays outside and is always covered. The Noah is thick enough to protect from dings, is very weatherproof and is soft to the car's finish. I have never had a scratch or any damage from using these covers.
I get my covers from Auto Anything - they have good prices, free shipping and the service is great. The Noah cover for my FR-S was $207 delivered. You should get one set of Covercraft's 'Gust Guards' also, they help secure the front and back of the covers just forward and aft of the wheels. They keep the cover securely in place during any high winds.

the cover from subaru is not even 400... i think it was like 100 or 200...
but if i were going to get a cover id get one from california car cover company. I've owned 2 of them for different cars over the years. they fit perfectly and the fabric is really durable. I highly recommend them. |

I have the covercraft noah cover. It keeps my car dry during rainy days, and the wind will not blow the cover off.

I have this and it took a beating during a snowstorm. After two days of melting snow I took off the cover and it was dry underneath. Best bang for the buck.
