I watched it come off the truck and roll into the service bay for prep (7 miles on the odo), then I gave it a quick test drive. They’re gonna detail it and I’ll go back later to close the transaction. The car is gorgeous, and beautifully crafted. I’m psyched!

I emailed the Ray my salesmen this morning but no answer yet. Usually he's pretty quick to get back to me so I'm guessing it's his day off. I'm hoping I'll get a call tomorrow but who knows.

Congrats on your FR-S, mine should be here by the end of the week. On a positive note, my tC has been officially sold. It was sad to see her go, but with my FR-S replacing the empty spot, I'm sure I'll be happier.

Burnsville Scion delivered their first FR-S today, Hot Lava MT and my packet is all done and ready...Whiteout please get here already!

I just called SoA and they said now they don't have an ETA listed but it shows it's at the railhead. So the question is does that mean its here and just needs to get on a truck to be delivered to the dealership, or does it mean that it's on the train enroute?

Greetings! It's nice to see these cars are finally making their way to Minnesota and looks like my Argento FR-S (my dealer could not get a whiteout) is here as well and I plan to pick up on Friday, if I can manage the wait. It feels really weird to be nearly certain about taking the delivery of a car which I have not driven yet. Last month, however, I did have a chance to see the 86 in person at the Toyopet in Narita. While the store was closed for almost hour, there was one very nice guy who invited me in to inspect the car inside and out as well as to take a few pictures. Here are a couple.

Mike, very nice, congratulations, and I hope you got a chance to collect a sampling of those very tasty-looking brochures we see in that first pic! I purchased a couple Japanese '86 brochures off eBay, and they are absolutely gorgeous books -- with beautiful photography, richly printed on thick paper . . . if only I could actually read them!

Unfortunately, I only noticed these brochures when I looked at the photos taken . At the store, however, I didn't feel like I wanted to make the guy wait for me any longer before they can close for the night. I did get into the car more than once though, just couldn't resist (I was like ). I hope it is as good as I "think" it is.

BTW, it is going to replace my trusty Mazda MX-3 (with ~100 hp) which refuses to die on me . This is, of course, if my wife will not "steal" it from me, as it happened in 2001 with my 330i.

Apparently the #2 order at Bloomington Subaru showed up before mine. Congratulations whomever you are. I hopefully mine will be here soon.

just called BP subaru to get an update on my brz. my sales guy provided me a new ETA of june 15. SOA originally quoted me for june 11. no big deal. he said sometimes they can come early.

i also put in a request not to clean the car and drill the front bumper. my sales guy said that shouldn't be an issue. i will be doing a full detail on the car and applying opticoat myself.

Ayau, it looks like I'm going to beat you. My ETA was confirmed between tomorrow and June 4th (Next Monday) by my dealer. If I get it tomorrow or Friday, I'll take it to Cars & Coffee in Chanhassen Saturday morning.

I was told earlier this month that the first two coming to Bloomington are both A/T, one black and one red. I was also told that these were in fact the first two cars ordered by the dealership. Is one of those yours, you reckon? I ordered a DGM M/T.

I was thinking about going to Cars and Coffee as well. Never been there before, but also never had a car that was worthy before.

Interesting because mine is GBS AT. Oh well I don't care what number I am, I just want it to get here!
