It fit fine for me no rubbing. I didn't want to buy coils and wheels / tires at the same time either.

I have Bilstein B6 with STI Pink springs (so stock spring diameter), I currently have a camber bolt and Raceseng Camber Tops in the front and LCAs in the rear (-3.0 Camber front, which I want to dial back to around -2.6) I'm assuming that I'll have to pull some of the camber bolt camber out and get some of the camber back through the Raceseng tops to get where I want to be with this fitment.

So, I got a set of RPF1's in this size with some 245/40 17R tires. Had them mounted last weekend and thought they were ok at first. However, after a little while, I realized they were rubbing the bottom of the spring perch just a little. Not sure if it was all the time or just occasionally. There's a noticeable rub line on the inside of both tires. The guy at the tire shop swore to me they weren't rubbing when they mounted them. I've already taken them off until I decide what I'm going to do to fix it. Do you guys think a 5mm wheel spaces would do the trick? Here's a couple of pics to show what was going on.

Thanks for the link. I think may just end up getting coilovers sooner than I expected. I'll give it some thought over the weekend.

the +35 offset versions of these should effectively give 10mm more clearance, correct?

Yes, but they will poke out more. It would probably be the better option if you're going to stay with stock suspension. I believe you'll need to add some negative camber to the front as well to keep from rubbing the fenders though.

I just installed a set of these on my DGM BRZ, I'm still on stock suspension. 245/40/17 Dunlop Direzza ZII star specs.

I've added a set of 3mm spacers up front, I thought I might have a little rubbing and wanted a little extra space to be safe. After adding the spacers I'm pretty sure there was no rubbing, the wider ZIIs are just noisy.

I have 17x9 +45 with BFG Sport Comp2 on eibach pro springs. The fronts will not clear without spacers. I ordered a set of 10mm spacers but the poke is too much, so I ordered 5mm spacers for the front and am using 3mm spacers in the back to even it out. Will repost when I install the 5mm spacers. Until then, I have awful poke up front.

Shoulda went with coilovers, as they do not require any spacers to clear.

Would just a 3mm spacer allow the fronts to clear?

Nope, I originally purchased the 3mm for the fronts since I read someone having success, unfortunately I wasn't as lucky so they are on the rear now. 5mm will rub on full lock but won't poke. 10mm+ will poke and not rub, but you'll look like you're some turbo FWD car which looks dumb to me on a RWD car and it's not very great for handling.

Edit: I decided to go the coilover route (smaller diameter spring perch), I like the idea of no spacers or extended studs.

On a side note, just picked up 2" knockout conduct seals from lowes for center caps. you will need to wrap the prongs in some sort of tape - I used electrical - and you will have to pull the tabs outward to create a better/secure fit (if your paranoid you can also put a bit of superglue on the underside). However they are the perfect DIY center cap and only cost me 5$
Will be plasti dipping them black before I install. Pics to follow.

3mm spacers on stock springs will clear some tires, the only tire I have experience with is the 245 wide Continental DWS which clears with spacers (5-6 mm clearance) but it is close.

Is anyone running a BBK with their 17x9 +45 rpf1 wheels?

I've done a lot of searching, lots of posts saying no but I am planning on running a 10mm spacer.... guess I will throw the caliper fitment template on with spacer to see how much clearance there is with different kits.

Looks like so far only the essex endurance kit will work on the front with a 10mm spacer

17x9 +45 RPF1 with 12mm spacer, leaves about 3mm gap at the closest point to the Essex AP Racing Sprint BBK. Bought the spacers off Amazon last year - not sure if that size is still available but it's perfect for this application. Also consider that you might need camber (I run -3f/-2.5r) to avoid rubbing the fender at full load (at the +33 offset) on track/ax, depending on tire size - mine are 235/40-17 Nitto NT01.
