Scion FR-S to SEMA Caravan Event - [Part 1]

Scion did another tour event, this time was tour to SEMA. 300 miles driving Torrance to Las Vegas!

*Note* Due to so much event/things happened within 48hrs, I'm going to break it down into 2 different threads.

5:00AM Toyota USA Museum

Early in the morning? No, it's not early at all for FR-S owners.

5:30AM Inside Toyota USA Museum


Registered and get some swags!



Did I get some? Of course! What was inside? It's a secret

6:20AM Inisde Toyota USA Museum


Drivers meet. Moto-san double, triple making sure, there won't be any "Freaking Really Stupid" sticker needed to be giving out to the drivers within this tour.

6:30 Toyota USA Museum

Time to roll out! First stop is Starbucks



9:00AM between Starbucks & Del Taco Parking lot at Lenwood


Now, most of us are awake and brain are working (I wasn't).



So time to put the stickers! Plus get some coffee





10:30AM Roll out from Lenwood and head to Ghost Town


11:00AM Arrived in Ghost Town to do some awesome photo shoot


Now, can you see this LONG line of FR-S? It's near or maybe over 2 miles long!




12:00PM Last stop before Las Vegas


Moto-san is counting on all the FR-S to make sure there aren't any lost FR-S and if he need to give out "Freaking Really Stupid" sticker.


12:30:PM Depart


1:30PM Arrived at Las Vegas!

Not sure. Some are staying til Sunday, but most owners are leaving today. As for myself, I had to leave early (yesterday)

I have a weird question. Do you know anyone who had the Toyota badges on their cars? I wonder how the official Scion People feel about those of us who have rebadged.

Just got done washing my car in 37 degree farenheit in Ottawa Canada and come in to see pictures of this fantastic event. Can't wait for the second installment. One question, where can I get my hands on a blue and a red FR-S ball cap. They look great.

Yeah, morning was a bit cold, but around 9am it warmed up nicely.

Wow... Was there a thread leading up to this... Living in Barstow I would've at least like to check out the cars while y'all where in Lynwood... And the fort Irwin sign.. Up that's my exit every day to work lol... Just would've been nice to meet up and meet some people

Sadly, it was a selected SoCal FR-S owners event, so very few got the email for this event... BUT I'm pretty sure they'll do another cool tour event, so keep an eyes on it

Selected lol... 2 miles of FRS's sound like everyone in so cal but me lol... I'll keep a look out if I knew where to look... I'm have to call my dealership and find out what's up


And I hope this doesn't sound like whining one bit... I just haven't seen another FRS in the high desert yet

Then I would recommend doing is become friend w Moto on FB. He always post FR-S events

Socal and Norcal should do a tour together!

imagine more than 100 cars together

we are having our second tour next saturday.

we are headed for the panoramic highway where the FR-S commercial was shot.

It was a limited invite RSVP event presented by Scion to which I was assigned to organize off-line due to limited space and short planning.
The next event will be open again to everyone.

Tour Drive part 3, after "Tour of LA" and "Scion to SEMA" will happen by the end of the year, possibly in December, and I'll be sure to put on a invitation on FT86Club.com.
