DIY: Alarm installing wiring diagram
I've just finish my alarm installation and this is the wiring diagram I've take from TIS. It's really easier this way because you have all the pinout and the connector location.
EDIT: Now the trunk wire is there ! Note that the trunk wire is the Small blue one.

Do you think it's smart posting information bout your alarm system on a public forum?... Easier for people to steal your car

I'm using an OEM style remote system, so I'm using the OEM remote to control the door lock and the alarm read the door lock motor to arm or disarm the system.

So if I wanted to hook up another siren, which wire would I tap into?

Normally your aftermarket alarm system will be driving your siren.

I don't have an aftermarket system (yet), but do have a Piezo siren that I would love to hook up. Now I don't want to just hook it up to the horn, otherwise I'll go deaf when honking at idiots. But if there's a wire I can tap into so that when the factory alarm goes off and triggers the horn, I would use it to then make the siren go off.
Or perhaps I just need to get that viper alarm with remote start I've been eyeballing. |

ALL FRS/BRZ have the same wiring...all very easy to find on the net. If someone wants the car bad enough, they will steal it. Doesn't matter if it has an alarm or not. The idea is that you HOPE thieves will pass up the cars with an alarm and go for an easier target. I can tell you in my 20 years of experience, that doesn't always happen though. I park my cars in the garage at home and most of the time I put them inside at my office too. If not, I have security cameras everywhere so I keep an eye on them always.

How can I tap a signal from a Viper system that requires a 200mA light flash output, i.e. parking light or hazard?
This signal from the alarm will supply a (-) 200 mA output. |
