If there is no Toyota will you go with Scion or Subaru

Let's just imagine (no matter how badly that hurts) that there is no Toyota version for the US. How many will still go with the Scion and how many with the Subaru. It is hard to tell if both models will have the same spec or not. Let's just say that the Subaru is a bit better, but also costs a bit more (fair increase in price based on what you get).

I will just save the money I was going to spend on it and put it towards a 2013 GT-R .

Even they share the same feature, and Subaru cost 1000 more, I will pick Subaru for the brand image alone. Yes, I'm a baller.

Hahaha how is a $90,000 GT-R even in the same conversation as a ~$25,000 Toyobaru 86? If you have money for the GT-R, go for it. I sure wish I did.

Agreed, I'm looking at this because i know all to well that the gt-r is out of reach, and this is like the gt-r's sexy cousin (who happens to be a cheap slut ) If i could even fathom affording a gt-r i'd jump on it

Oh, and i'm 18 years old and goin subie

Since Subaru only has sketches I voted for other. I want to see some real representation before I choose the Subie. I'm starting to like that LF-Ghs concept a lot!!

Not down with Scion or a rebadged one at all!

Hope you have/make enough money to buy two because with the maintenance costs, GT-R owners say it's not good idea to buy one unless you have the funds equivalent to buying a second.

I don't really care what it's released under, but I doubt Toyota will change their minds even if their "enthusiasts" will be lost to subie. It's all about the numbers folks.

I chose Subaru. I really hoped to upgrade from a Scion to Toyota, but if that's not possible, Subaru will do. Can't take much more of these anti-Scion comments. So demoralizing. Makes me just want to crash my car sometimes.

O_O!

Obviously toyota doesn't realize that making a 10-15% Profit from each toyota branded FT-86 is better than nothing; however, I guess its OK for them to give all the profits to Subaru since they're going to give the FT-86 to Scion.

Currently, I'm more interested in the Subaru, but only because we have no idea what it's going to look like or how it's going to be priced. The mystery is always more intriguing.

Depends on what the scion looks like, the subaru looks like, performance/weight differences, options, interiors etc.

Scion = One spec, no options, no trim levels.

Kiss goodbye to a;
Toyota ft-86 turbo
Toyota ft-86 track spec
Toyota ft-86 targa/drop top

... and hello to;

but wouldn't you have to pay extra for that anyway if it was factory installed and came out as the FT-86 ? .. And Scion has been really good at loading either car with Slandered stuff that. on the Toyota Lines are options ..
