As for the atmo dumping gate - they sound terrible unless running high boost, otherwise on anything under 15psi it is on gate 24/7, and sounds like you have a massive exhaust leak as soon as you step on the throttle. When running 21-25psi, it sounds fine cos your not ALWAYS on gate.
Um... No, the waste Gate will only dump when it has reached it set pressure. As far as how they sound when open, yes the higher the boost the better it sounds because the more boost you run the less exhaust the waste gate needs to dump to control boost, with low boost it dumps so much exhaust it sounds like open downpipe on some applications , but to say its open 24/7 is wrong, they dont dump till you hit your desired full boost

This is correct, but you will not have the pronounced "tone" most people are looking for on low boost applications. It will sound like an exhaust leak when the wastegate is open

Looks Great. As an Owner from Southern WI, I like the placement so salt, snow and other things have less chance of harming it. I have been watching the Turbo threads closely and you guys are no 1 for me so far. Cant wait to see more details
