UK GT86 Pricing announced

Toyota UK have blogged that the GT 86 will be priced from £25k in the UK, in June.

A bit cheaper than some of the magazines were predicting.

as long as the options are reasonably priced it is a lot better than it could have been.

For our American cousins it works out at $29,865 before import duty and sales tax

yeah but UK prices don't translate into world prices at ALL

it's like you have your own little micro-climate

If VAT is 20% and import Duty is 12% I get: (25/1.2)/1.12 = £18.6K X 1.5 = $27,900

They are also getting a much lower spec model.

hence the smiley (it was meant as a jibe to the huge thread comparing Japanese to US prices)

The USA is the micro-climate. The UK prices are fairly similar to direct currency conversions of the Japanese prices if you take pre tax prices (as are the other leaked European prices).

Our equivalent is £33k including TAX, its £25k if you take off import duty and TAX.

import duty on cars is 10% (it is EU wide not UK specific)

No they not...it's almost loaded, the only options are Nav and leather sport seats.

I think he meant "they" as in people in the US since he is from the UK.

Oh yeah! My bad! I wish we were getting the same spec at the UK GT86. Oh well hopefully get can do options to get to what it has in the UK.

I am still going to go with these predictions..

FR-S $23K with Bespoke
BRZ Premium $24K with Nav
BRZ Limited $26K with everything
