The car blogs and clickbaits just keep recycling the same old info about a US version and just move the year out each time. The original 300 that you mention was for the JDM only and that was last year. Don't hold your breath on a USEM version since it is not likely to ever happen.
I don't expect a tS version either for 2018. Probably they were on discussions sometime, but then decided to introduce instead the performance package.

Good to know - thanks. Did not know that it wasn't a nationwide Subaru policy. Both Subaru dealers I deal with offered the same thing (they didn't mention that it was coast specific but spoke in a general sense). We bought both our vehicles from one dealer and take it to a closer one for maintenance. Basically, on both our Subaru vehicles, first 3 oil changes were free, and inspections up to the end of the warranty period/mileage. One free alignment as well (we did that on the Outback).

What makes you say that? Didn't Subaru recently trademark 'tS' for North America? I feel like there must be some special edition for 2018 since 2017 will have the Series.Yellow

Wish I had that, my housemate has a Forester she bought from California and she has the free Maintenance. But I don't, haha oh well I've always worked on my own car. It's nice that they offer it though ! Even if it's just west

I called 1-800-SUBARU3 and spoke to the customer service rep. He took the VIN for my Tribeca and a few days later I had the coupon in my email. Super easy and he specifically stated to not show the dealer until you have the final prince in front of you to avoid the dealer doing hidden markups to essentially make the OLI useless.

Thanks! I doubt that will work for my 2001 2.5RS, but it's worth a try.

There is no official announcement yet. Besides, it is very difficult for the STI team to support this globally or even US alone. The current team is quite small and they work already with many projects. The same people that prepare the 24h Nürburing car and the GT300 car are working also on the limited edition cars. A real BRZ tS is much much different than the BRZ Series.Blue 2015 model for example. It is too much work for the dealers to install the parts or even the factory. These cars are coming out from the factory in semi-finished form and finished by STI technicians. If they expand globally, then I think that it will not be the same anymore.

He said I could've used the VIN from my 2001 RS as well

Well they wouldn't bring out a tS if there is nothing to improve performance wise. But history wise they should have a new one with the facelift as they always did with the Legacy and WRX in Japan.

Love the look on the white car, but don't imagine it would last long in my case, parking as I do in a multilevel garage with fairly steep ramps.
