Toyota UK recently had access to some private time with the FT-86 II Concept on location in Brussels. They've shared with us their beautiful studio photos and a video. Enjoy!

Hrmm.... I'm not sure if im feeling the concept 2... I think its "overdone" in regards to bodywork. The side grills are over kill for me. the concept 1 was simple and u can make it look like the concept 2 if u like how it looks like. I hope they come with a simpler version... when the actual production model comes out.

It's a little to "ricey" for my liking. Needs to be simple and sleeek!

Just my 2c people. thats all

It IS RWD.
Also, this is supposed to be an every mans sports car. Believe it or not, but the Vette is hugely expensive, at least here in Europe. Atless the Camaro will have a reasonable price when it comes out here, the FT-86 will have no competition.

I think that it's modern and agressive. Everything a sports car should be. What I've never liked is how many modern sporty cars look so dull.

I'm still liking this car in white than in black.

Also... I spent the whole time in the video trying to figure out what camera they were using... :x

Really really sharp shots. Love it. /drools

I want all of these pics in hi-res. Lot's of desktop potential in them but they should be a little bigger.

This car has weird proportions in pictures. But I bet in real life it looks more sexier.

man some haters in this thread, especially the new ***s.

I personally believe from a designers point of view that its a step in the right direction. I like the FT86-II over the FT86-I.

The one thing that im more upset about is how the T&S board made a note that the FT86-I wouldn't meet regulations, so they had to raise and push back the front making the body lines all weird and less sleek but more bubbly.I think they tried their best to compensate.

The market in styling is difficult because you have a small group of enthusiasts globally vs the global general market. If the idea was to market a bold sports car to an age group of 20-35, this design was it.

Performance wise, I think its got everything that it needs to be a contender against miata and genesis. Americans however will always want more power.

---

From a tuner/enthusiasts point of view...I think Toyota could do better or tone it down.
I like the FT86-I better over FT86-II.
