T1R 70R Power exhaust Prototypes !

Thank you for your patience. We have finalized the design for our 70R Cat-back single exhaust for the FRS and BRZ. I believe we are the first to offer an exhaust in 70mm on the market at the moment. We have tested 2.5" pipe and we hardly see any gains so we tested with the 70 and now we talking

The exhaust is built with stainless 70mm (2.75") piping, single resonator on b-pipe and with 101mm (4") exhaust tip. We built the exhaust with horizontal muffler for better sound quality while maintaining exhaust flow. The entire cat-back system weighs 26 lbs.

Here we go

Dyno test was performed with DYNOCOM (hub dyno) and all numbers are SAE corrected. Dynoed with 5th gear which is 1:1 ratio !

The 70R exhaust gained 2-3whp across the band and 5.4whp at peak.

Now we will be finishing up building the over pipe and the secondary cat-delete pipe and we will hit the dyno again !

Here's the Video clip for the exhaust !

Stay tuned !

Cheers,

Ben @ AJR

If this was a dual outlet I would for sure buy it. Im not going to drive around with a big hole in my bumper without anything in it.

I was gonna say that the single outlet on this car just looks kinda silly. I'm sure there might be one or two body kits that might come out that would make a single outlet look good but as far as on the stock car people will just keep letting you know "Hey man, your exhaust fell off the left side of your car!"

Maybe you guys might be able to make a diffuser addon that would address that...just saying.

He did say this was a prototype/sneak peek? Perhaps the fit and finish will be addressed before minting the final product. Infact after typing that im almost 100% they will address it before shipping out!

Had T1R 70mm dual on my S2000. Full aluminum cat-back and test pipe. Great quality, beautiful sound, love it so much, but if they make it a lot more quieter than what my S2000 had then would be awesome.

sounds like it will be very productive, but it also looks as if something fell of the back of the car.

why waste all those bends and have it exit to the right when you could have made it straight out from the left? boggles my mind

I have read of a few people on these forums requesting single exit design. Myself included. If you want to have a heavier dual exit exhaust there are already many choices for you to choose from. This design looks very neat and clean. That is, follows the underside of the car very closely.

Function>form.

Also just for giggles how bout you run a 3rd and 4th gear run so we can compare with the competition, who ran on 3rd and 4th. I'd also like a comparison just to see how big of a difference the power gains are vs. the ideal 1:1 ratio of 5th gear.

i agree but they could of saved some more metal and weight by just having the exhaust come out from the driver side....instead of the passenger...i'm just saying...again this is just my 2 cents.....i've had a 350Z, Evo 10 and they all had a T1R exhaust system...so i'm not trying to put a great brand name into the floor...just saying im a little disappointment that's all...

if you look at all there other products...you'll understand where i'm coming from..

he clearly stated that the reason for that was for sound quality. not saying i agree with that decision but that's what he said.

any reason why you guys didn't go with the dolphin tip? heard a lot of good things about your exhausts and i for one am glad we have a quality single outlet option for best HP gains and best weight reduction.

We are working on the dual as well. If you re-look the pictures in my first post, you should see the prototype dual muffler

The titanium tip will be on the production model

Yes we do do a few runs with 3rd, 4th comparing to 5th. We should be hitting the dyno again in the next few days. Will keep you posted !

The main reason is resonance. Personally, I really don't like exhaust drone so with a smaller muffler on the left side, there won't be space to fit a big enough muffler to reduce the drone.

The 70R single exhaust are build for ppl who aim for performance. You will see the dual exhaust soon and I am sure you won't be disappointed
