how do you get the headliner to unscrew the base? is it as simple as pulling down the headliner?

I would pay twice as much as the current "shark-fins" for one of these if someone made them for our cars; specially if they don't affect signal reception - even better if it somehow improves it.

Yes. Except if you just pull down on the headliner without removing any other interior panels/pop rivets, then you're just going to break your headliner.

I believe all I needed to remove was the four pop-out rivets at the back of the headliner and had to pull open the plastic pillar covers that for the back seat side airbags (They're on some sort of hinge in there). That produced enough room to unscrew the nut from the antenna base.

Went to Nissan to buy one today and it was over $200 dollars.... for anyone that wants this id try and find one at a salvage yard
