I received an email from Tyler. I'm sure all of those that paid did as well. Sounds like his painter fell through. He's working on refunding everyone.

I've got a lot of patience so if there isn't an update within 72 hours I think it's safe to say I'd file a PayPal dispute to at least get a response.

he's not on a trip...i am within 30 minutes of him....i've been trying to get a hold of him for over a week now and he is basically ignoring everyone that he is "making" a spoiler for...other people in my group have been able to get a hold of him and he just simply refuses to even give me a simple update, so it's become apparent to me that the spoiler is just not going to happen anytime soon, especially if the first person who placed an order for one hasn't received his....just my .2 cents...i'm just kind of tired of being ignored and not given even a simple "it's taking me longer than i thought i'm just trying to get them all done" he just doesn't even reply, so Good luck to those of you who have already paid for your wing, i Hope i can eventually get mine and everyone here can either get theirs or get a refund...

Hello Everyone!

As the time passes I have to both admit and accept defeat.

I got in way over my head with being able to do these spoilers when I had the person painting them flop on me entirely and I haven't been able to bounce back at all. Rather than continue making everyone wait I am going to be issuing refunds to everyone.

There was a very small margin that I was making on these $45 to be exact and I am working with the vendor to return the spoilers now so that I can atleast begin the refunding process. The other money I am recouping from selling parts as it was spent mainly on paint and the paint work which I have nothing to show for because I got hosed. You live, you learn.

I understand everyone is wanting to have their refunds processed ASAP but unfortunately I do not have the funds to do that. I am working diligently selling items to get that money back and in the meantime will basically be refunding 2 customers per week with my personal paychecks until everything has been returned in full.

I beg of your patience during this time. If any of you are at all interested in receiving the spoiler primed, ready for paint I can send it out ASAP. I have the boxes and labels ready and waiting for that to be done. If you would like that I will process the refund lesser $65 and would be able to process them much sooner and efficient that way.

The only feasible way of sending them out painted is to charge around $250 per spoiler and getting them done at shop since I do not have a private painter option now.


Please contact me via email. It is much easier to respond this way and I have a better grasp over messages vs. the ft86 forums.

Thanks again for all of your patience and apologies for the frustration I have caused. I have added the undue strain whenever I am supposed to be enjoying life since I am expecting a little one come April! Woot Woot!

I'm looking to do the same as well. I haven't heard back from him. The lack of communication frustrates me more than his inability to fulfill these orders.

I've been following this thread because I was initially very interested in getting one. I haven't posted until now because it seems odd...

You're selling it for $175. You said that you have a $45 profit from each one. This is based on the letter that you sent which "crazyfrenchbiker" had posted. And in the OP, you said that you have 20 orders. So that means that you've already collected $3500, of which you estimated a $900 profit. And based on that same "email", we see that paint would be $65. Also remember, that the total price included shipping. So based on a standard ground shipping USPS, no tracking... shipping should be approximately $20. Which means that your cost for goods is $45.

WHAT YOU COLLECTED = $3500 ($175 x 20)
WHAT YOU PAID SO FAR = $900
And you haven't shipped any. So no shipping cost incurred yet. None painted. So no paint cost incurred.

HOW THE HELL are you having to take money out of your own account and refund only 2 per week??? Where is the rest of the money that you collected but didn't use ($2600)??? That $2600 should be able to refund 14 people. Which means only 6 people have to "wait".


Now I get it... haven't we all stepping into something that we ended up being way over our heads in. So I have some compassion for that. But to get out of that quicksand, you gotta just man up and face the music. Admit that you already spent the money (bad business practice) on who knows what, and you stuck trying to figure out a way to pay that back. At least if you're honest with it and don't hide from people, you'd find most people are willing to work with you. You might have to take some complaints, but it wouldn't be nearly the amount that you would get otherwise.
