What a concept. Why can't you be contagious?

Thanks.
This is a good question. Is the compressor wheel dependent on the motor's driveshaft? That could be a wear problem down the road. I don't remember how long the previous installations have been running. Any kind of longevity tests done either methodically or just by being out there in customer cars?

I cant speak to the connections specifically but i can get the info from the designer. I believe it is a package unit as the tolerances are VERY important in a system that spins at 50,000 rpm. You dont want to be willy nilly swaping motors back and forth.

The system has been on a couple cars for over 40,000 km daily driven and they are doing just as good as the day they were installed.

The key here is that the turbo is internally lubricated and honestly we are spinning it at its lowest efficiency rating.

I wonder what the compressor itself is made of. Would investing in the lightest material available help reduce battery drain and let it run longer and/or allow the use of a larger turbine to help with that upper end boost?

Or four electric superchargers; one for each intake runner via a custom manifold.

What are the chances of you running the quater mile to see how this E-charger has improved accelleration?

Official 1/4 mile is not likely, they shut down our race track this year

Could do a simulated one maybe?

here's an example:

LiFePO4 batteries don't experience thermal runaway so are basically immune to lighting on fire like this. They are no where near the power density but of LiPO batteries but the are a nice stable middle ground. I used them for the electric bike I built and they worked great.

LiFePO4 batteries also have very good peak current characteristics, and longer cycle lifes (i.e. they can be charged/discharged more times before failing).

Edmonton is not far.... 2.5 hours. We go all the time. It's at 2500 feet static elevation, so for the numbers to mean anything, you could make 2 na runs and the 2 supercharged runs.

Since this thing adds mostly at the bottom, I would say zero to 60 is where it will shine best. ...if it hooks up lol.

What's going on with the AFR's here, the pic is a little hard to read? Did the stock car start off WAY lean?
