brz meets tree...

long story short. I came around a corner on a windy road I didn't know and the roads were wet and I had less traction than I thought and I spun out and went backwards into a tree. thankfully I didn't hit any other cars and both myself and my passenger are ok. the car had only 30,000kms and was a great car. It saddens me she is gone but on the bright side im getting a Satin White Pearl Sport Tech soon as my replacement in the next week or so and am going to be way more careful.

thanks and ya im glad we are both ok to besides a little whiplash and stiffness. and no there was no fire. the car still would start and everything after as well there is just way to much frame/body damage to be worth fixing. the main thing is we are ok though as cars can be replaced, its just sucks cause these cars are beautiful its a shame to see any crashed or in the salvage yard.

ya surprisingly the only air bag that did go off was passanger side curtain. and it didnt smack my friend in the face which was nice. it could've been a lot worse if we hit on the side of the car or something instead of the back.

Wow! Glad to hear that you are ok!

You must have been going pretty fast to smash the rear that hard

i wasn't going that quick but for the road conditions and road I obviously was. The car did a good job of taking most of the impact. I was actually a little shocked when I got out walked around to the rear and saw how bad it actually was. The back is messed but it crumpled in well and not to far into the trunk pan area either. if I had passengers in the back seat it wouldve been painful for them but im sure they would've been ok as well definitely well designed car and good crumple zones.

Agreed, crumple zones do tend to make things seem much worse sometimes.
