Are you saying there could be two release series in the same model year? Very interesting.

September sucks if you are in the East coast in the US.. seems like an odd date considering how nicely the FRS has been selling, I couldn't imagine them having toooooo many 2013's left over on the lot by June.
I loved having the car for the entire summer, just a perfect cruiser during those gorgeous summer months. |

It doesn't say minor change or anything next to it so I assume it'll be the same as the 2013 with the fixes it needed in flawed parts

Will we at least be able to order one soon? And when will we "officially" know what the features of the 2014 really are.
I mean, I don't think there will be any noticeable changes but Scion has to do something in order to incentivize people to buy the 2014's over the cheaper 2013's at that time. |

I heard the 2014 FR-S will have all the features people wanted and that were missing from the 2013 FR-S, while still having none of the features people didn't want on the 2013 FR-S.
Plus, optional time machine via flux...see previous reference in another post.

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE ANY SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN MODEL YEAR 2
The best you can hope for is a couple of trim options that weren't there before and if you bought a 2013 and want them badly enough you'll be able to get them. Your 2014 base FR-S will NOT have GT86 headlights (though they may be an option and that means you'll be able to add them to a 2013 model). This is pretty easy to figure out for several reasons. If it was touted as a special feature of the special edition it will NOT be standard on the base model.

September is typical for new model year in Asian cars... And I don't understand why so many people keep thinking there are going to be major change.
2015 before we see any change, probably minor, then 2017 - 18 before a significant change. 2016 could be a refresh, like maybe different mesh grille, different reflector, etc... As for getting the parts you want, wait for the 10 series to come out, grab a VIN, use said VIN to order parts. Going to be cheaper than importing those 86 and GT86 parts... |
